Shouldn't there be a way to tell the Ps3 that it is the same console somehow? This kind of bunks out the whole back up process

I updated to firmware 3.15 and am using the transfer feature right now.
Few tidbits: When connecting the two PS3s via ethernet (any cable will work, crossover or regular), I had to use the switch on the back of my PS3 fat to turn it off rather than the soft off, else they didn't see each other on turning back on. Also, the progress bar estimated about an hour and a half, but it's been over 2 hours to transfer so far.
I did run into that old issue where folding wouldn't quit because it has a pending update (have to open it manually and accept the update to fix that), but no issues encountered thus far.
