As noted by PS3Trophies.org, it appears that more Borderlands DLC is imminent. The five recently added Trophies point to three coliseums, called The Angelic Ruins, The Gully and Hell-Burbia, all of which appear to have "lesser" and "larger" challenges.
Eurogamer mentions that Borderlands Creative Director Mikey Neuman was all set to reveal something on Twitter, but it appears the marketing powers changed the announcement to a "later occasion." Publisher Take-Two seems happy with the success of Borderlands and critical reception to the game's first DLC pack, The Zombie Island of Doctor Ned. Reaching out to 2K Games about the DLC, we were informed, "No official announcements have been made regarding future Borderlands DLC at this time."

Hopefully this one raises the level cap.
I'm thinking at least 70 this time. That should be enough to make it through a third play-through pretty easily.

I'd say it's a Shooter first, a Loot Pinata second and an RPG third.

Ha! So basically you're telling me I'm going to spend the entire time shooting shit, getting stoked to find out what loot I got, then wash rinse repeat?! You know, that actually sounds like a metric shitton of fun.
Santy REALLY better put this under my tree.

Yep, you nailed it. And if that's your style of game (as it is mine) it IS a shit ton of fun. My buddy and I have played through it three times now.
Playthrough two is even more fun than the first time, because the difficulty ramps way up.

Oh neat. Yea, it's in my wish list, cause I'd heard it was like Diablo with guns and more cool shit and a great art style.
Is there a storyline? Or really is it just the f'ing stuff up?

There is a storyline, and some of the characters are funny as hell. That said, the story is nothing more than an excuse to kill stuff. Don't expect an epic narrative.

i just got it in gamefly and im really hating the RPG part. It's only really annoying when you come across as "badass" enemy. I was fighting a badass raider and it literally took me 12 lives and 3000 dollars worth of ammo and health until i just ran past him. I was doing so much right too, shock bullet his shields down, headshot him with the sniper, but nothing. That was really unfun

So it can be another game in the long line that strive to achieve photo-realism but fall short and (possibly) get stuck in the infamous "Uncanny valley"?
Sorry, but I prefer the stylized version they presented.

man this was a breath of fresh air.
video games only limitations are the imaginations of the people making it. why imitate real life?
also it's not a cop-out because conceptualizing cool designs is A LOT harder than copying things in real life. if anything, all of the photo-realistic games are taking the easy way out because it take less imagination and creativity. technically it might take more to make something photo realistic but that's more about time, not talent.
I hope more games take note and realize not everything needs to look the same. what if all comic books looked the same? what if all movies looked like guy ritchie did them? things would get boring.
damn, look at Mario, as much as I think they are played out they have their own style.

You know there will be a GOTY edition with all DLC for $60 soon enough. Every other game is doing it these days. Wasted money on Fallout DLC to find if I had waited I could have gotten it a heck of a lot cheaper.

Still waiting for some very basic PC love in this game. As much as myself and friends enjoyed this game, starting to get very pissed at Gearbox. I swear they don't even remotely care about the PC version they put out as long as their console customers are happy.

Far from, Toop. There's some evidence with the interface that it's the other way around (designed for a controller as opposed to a mouse and keyboard).

To everyone asking for a large level cap raise (anything more than, say, 5 levels):
You do realize this would destroy the balance of the game, right?
At level 50, it is currently impossible for any class to get all three "tier 4" super skills. Do you really think it would be a good idea to enable builds like that?
Right now, there is a lot of build variety, because you can only max 9 skills total out of 21. If you could instead max 12 or 15 skills, say goodbye to any variety. Every single Soldier you meet will have the same 15 skills, because they don't have to pick and choose.
Take a lesson from Guild Wars: keep the level cap low, and instead keep raising monster levels. That way there is a true challenge, and not broken, boring, rubber-stamp builds.

I agree...
They would have to add another skill tree for a higher level cap to be possible/fun.
Maybe an "easy" skill to create could be a "Luck" tree for every class that could increase the chance of finding unique weapons in chests or drops. Maybe make it available only when you hit level 50.
Like you said, just raising the cap would make the balance and uniqueness of every class irrelevant.
I loved the Zombie island DLC and hope that they continue to add content like new areas/arenas instead of just bumping the cap.

I find that higher level enemies are harder to kill until you get to their level. At level 44 I was having an extremely hard time trying to kill some of the larger level 47 spider ants. I mean I could pump bullets from every gun I had and still barely scratch them.
Then when I got to level 47-48 I could kill them much easier using those same guns. So it felt like the damage I dealt was pretty much in line with my current level. Anyone 3-4 levels above me was a pain to kill, but so much as 1-2 levels below me was pretty easy.
I don't think they need to increase skill points and let you level up, I just want to be able to level up for strength reasons. Even my most powerful weapons (a 1600-1700 damage rocket launcher at the moment) aren't strong enough for some enemies.

ummm...yay!? i would rather they spent some time fixing the plethora of issues plaguing this game like the inability to communicate with anyone online, character data becoming corrupted, losing all weapons on characters, horrible frame rate drops, inability to trade weapons, etc.
i have the game and it is fun but I refuse to play until they address these and other issues.

I don't know why you got voted down, with so many people complaining of the use of gamespy and how horrible it was for the PC. I love this game, but it was touted as FPS meets MMO, and didn't really do that for many.
I don't know why gamers this generation are so happy to buy flawed materials and then burst into rage when somebody mentions it. It won't help the industry if this trend continues.

thanks zsavior. merely expressing an opinion. i agree that for a game that prides itself on its multiplayer component it should not have come out as broken as it did.

Oh lordy lordy, bout freakin' time!
New guns would be welcome too, and maybe new variables that can be added to the whole 'randomisation' of guns.. Was pretty disappointed with the Zombies.
Seriously, I'd be happy with a few new premade special guns, some new things to be added to the combos (inc effects) and a place to store them, without any other content whatsoever.

I have wanted this game for a while now. This time of year sucks for purchases though as I don't know whether or not it has already been gift wrapped for me by the wife (She's good like that) she does all her shopping in advance and forbids me from purchases just in case I get what she has gotten and what I will gettened.

I'm pretty irritated that this DLC reportedly includes extra storage slots for weapons. I'm not interested in multiplayer arenas and don't want to pay $10 just for the slots. The storage should be included in a free patch.
