"Fixed a case where an incapped survivor inside a rescue vehicle would trigger both the escape sequence and a round restart"

Had this happen to me a couple of times. I thought it was funny.

I wonder how the hit boxes have changed.

Doesn't it just make sense for crouching to improve accuracy? Not sure how that's an exploit, but super-zombies aren't very realistic anyway, so whatevs.

"while incapped"

Can't crouch when you're already lying on the ground

Because of confusion like this, I think using the real word, incapacitated, is better than 'incapped', which isn't a word and some people don't know.

In the first read, I didn't understand the sentence, until I examined the word 'incapped' and was able to translate it out of txt tlk and into english.

As usual, the 360 version is treated like the red-headed step child.

"You want a patch at the same time as your brother, cur? Unthinkable! Tend to the marmalade, or by god, you will not see so much as a piecemeal of meat until Uncharted 2 is ported to the 360! Now remove yourself from my sight, you will get your patch when it is good and irrelevant."

Only with Valve games, the PC gets that treatment from just about every other developer and publisher, so relax. Your lucky you have much less to bitch about than I do.

Maybe you should do some research and realize that this is out of Valve's hands. Whenever a new patch comes out for ANY GAME for the 360 it has to go through the Microsoft Certification process before being released.

Developers have indirectly bitched at MS for this in the past.

@Dreaded Fear: MS is silly like that, yes. But that fact didn't jive well with my little exposition there. :(

RKN: I'm not really bitching, though. I know Valve has to jump through hoops to get patches through on XBL.

Same concept. Blame Microsoft, or get the PC version. It was $2.49 not to long ago, and doesn't need an extremely beefy computer to run on.

Why the hell do you guys even complain about it? There's plenty of other games on the X360, go play them instead. Don't make it sound like all 360 games are being left unsupported. More developers make and support games on the 360 than they do on the PC.

"Spitter spit that damages players on a moving elevator will now fizzle quickly" ... Bad :(

"Allow the survivor and infected to rotate the camera yaw while being attacked by a Charger or Smoker" .... Good :)

"Fixed being able to hold crouch while incapped to get better weapon accuracy" So are they implementing that now or removing it?

I miss being able to help up the incapped survivors as a zombie, not only was it fun to mess with people it also had some strategic value.

How is the first one bad? Unless you're playing as a Spitter in Versus, hah. As a survivor, that's nothing but goodness.

And as for the crouching while incapped, that's being removed, not implemented.

I don't know about that; in an elevator, you're trapped. It's the only place you can't walk out of the acid if you get spit on. (As long as you're not incapped, anywhere else you can avoid taking too much damage from spit by just walking away.)

Seems more than a little unfair that you can effectively take down an entire team merely by spitting in the elevator.

But I haven't played versus yet, so that's really just a guess on my part...

I think it's bad too. It's hard to get the spit off into an elevator, and not letting a spitter get it into the elevator is something you need to watch for.

Should they also make it such that chargers/jockeys aren't allowed to knock you off ledges? I mean, a Charger could plow into a pile of survivors and knock them all off a ledge to kill them.

If I remember correctly the elevators are not really placed in areas where the spitter can hide and spit at the last second (as the doors close). If the survivors arnt playing like goofballs they should be ok.

Was there that much of a problem with spitters and elevators that they had to change it? If it was game breaking and happening a lot I can see them removing it I guess.

And if they're handicapping the spitter in places where she has an "unfair" advantage, what about the chargers ability to run survivors right off ledges to an instant death? (which is something I love to do)

As a spitter in the Sugar Mill level when the survivors go UP the elevator you can spit on the ledge at the top of the elevator and the goo will hit the survivors even before the elevator gets to the top and the doors open. Now that is cheap since the survivors have no way to defend against it. Its just 5+ seconds of getting constantly damaged by spitter goo.

"fixing a number of problems including physics crashes and hit boxes on the Charger"

This is good. There were quite a few times where I just couldn't play cause the physics engine kept crashing. Also, when the say they fixed the hit boxes I hope that means it increased. I absolutely sucked with the Charger and wouldn't get the hit if my cursor was the slightest bit off (even if the Charger's body lined up well).

I think this has to do with the hitboxes when shooting AT the Charger/Jockey.

There are a lot of times where I swear I'm shooting a Jockey but I just can't get it off the teammate.

I may be mistaken, but I was under the impression that changing the charger's hitboxes refers to how bullets/melee weapons hit the charger, not how the charger hits other stuff.

One problem that I've noticed is when you are pounced/charged/jockeyed. There always seems to be a bit of lag.

For example, a hunter pounces at me. I melee in an attempt to deadstop. But I have to guess at the timing because the hunter goes from being crouched on the ground to being on top of me instantly. There's no middle ground.

The worst is with the jockey. I see him running at me. Before I even see him jump, he's on top of me. There's rarely even an opportunity to deadstop the jockey.

Basically, I'm tired of this "lag" forcing me to guess on the timing of deadstops.

Note that I'm talking about single player/local server, so I don't think it's internet lag.
