Did you download last night's optional 3.15 firmware update on PS3 only to find that none of your PSP Minis were working on the PS3? You're not alone! The team at PSN Stores has compiled a list of all the Minis that work on Sony's home console -- a whopping five: Blast Off, Echoes, Kahoots, Stand O' Food and Zombie Tycoon.
But what about the remaining Minis? Unfortunately, you'll have to wait a week before the whole lineup is expected to work on the PS3. That means, at least for one week, your copy of Sudoku will remain exclusively on your PSP. Why Sony decided to release the firmware update so long before the feature, ahem, works is beyond us.

Wow, that's terrible.
Why not just delay the firmware for a week?
It's like releasing a terrible game later and then making a billion patches for it.
Oh wait...socom did that.

I have the MGS blue-tooth headset and I've always had the same issue with it since day 1: once I'm finished using it and I go to use it the next session I have to delete it's profile and sync it from scratch. It won't work if I try to reconnect from the existing profile. My Apple BT keyboard has never had that problem.

The update did a fair amount of good (especially fixing my trophy sync issues, thankfully), so I'm not going to complain that the feature isn't quite operational yet.

it is strange that they would not have them all working when the update came out.....wonder what the reason for that was....

The update was probably to address other concerns, and they figured they'd include those PSP Minis (PSN Minis now?) that did already work as a little extra.
I wonder if they expected the Minis feature in this update to get as much attention as it probably has, or if they were planning to make the 17th the big date from the start and to give that day more advertising.

from what i read they also fixed some issues with the BlueTooth headsets and the error when you Sync your Trophies. So they NEEDED to get this patch out asap, while they were at it they threw in the Mini's support.

GuiltyGuerilla, they weren't supposed to be included in 3.00, just supported. They said they will not be released with 3.00 but "shortly" after.

Wow I'm just hearing about this, can someone inform me? Let me get this straight. That Minis add on to the PS3. Let's you play PSP games on your PS3? So I don't need to own a PSP?

To clarify what ArchiGamer said:
PSP Minis are different from PSP games or PSN games. They were designed to be smaller experiences at a smaller price. Originally they were designed with the PSP in mind, however Sony seems to have felt that adding PS3 support for them was just an all around smart move.
So no, PSP games won't play on your PS3 just yet, but PSP Minis games will.

I'm still waiting for cross game chat... yea I said it. flame my ass, I don't care.
I just really hope cross game chat doesn't get included in this 'premium pay service' I read on Destructiod a couple weeks ago. They should include this just like online so the whole service could enjoy it.

i'm not gonna front, that Xbox fan boy is right! I own a PS3 and not an Xbox, but this is a fail. Instead of focusing on stuff PS3 owners actually want from updates, like i dunno err CROSS GAME CHAT FOR INSTANCE?!, they try and boost the sales numbers for overpriced psp mini titles, not by lowering the price but by increasing accessiblity. But they even messed that one up too.

It's the end of the world! Sony has failed us! C'mon, seriously, we're freaking out over this? The ADD has kicked in to full gear within the forums here. We can't wait a week? Let us not forget that Microsoft had the same issues with some of the features on Xbox Live when that service first started. It's no different here. But it doesn't matter people will still poke they're needles into the Sony voodoo doll and continue to worship the ground that Microsoft walks on - of course there's a subscription fee involved to do that too.
