Huzzah! No more of your intense Headquarters Pro matches will be interrupted by gargantuan, killer shockwaves expelled by morally dubious combatants. That is to say, Modern Warfare 2's Javelin glitch, which enabled a dirty, cheating player to instantly detonate upon death, was fixed earlier this morning by a patch for the Xbox 360 version of the game. According to a recent tweet from Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling, the PS3 version of the game has already received the patch.
In addition to removing the Javelin's unadvertised self-immolation feature, the patch also fixes the equally insidious "unlimited care packages" glitch, and fixes a few areas where players could exploit gaps in the game's geography. In a perfect world, Infinity Ward would have also sent parcels to the houses of anyone who leveraged these exploits -- parcels full of bees. The bad kind. The kind you see on the Discovery Channel. The ones that can kill a full-grown elephant with a surprisingly small swarm.

I left it unplugged for a minute, reset the cache, and reset my modem and router. Nothing helped. Ever since I installed the update, it's freezing me in game and on the dashboard. It might be related, it might not be. Either way, I'm pissed and I'm not gonna get my 360 back before holiday break.

Me thinks Sprinkles has returned. Or at least someone who wants to be as hated as him.

This is great. But, I can careless about this Javelin glitch, the unlimited care pachage and the maps exploids. The main things they should fix is the MODED CONTROLLERS!!!. I seen a bunch of ppl using those fucking controllers more on MW2 than on MW.. You would know this when u been knifed at the speed of light. I know the difference when i get knifed by a guy using marathon, lightweight and commando, they move fast but not that fast as the moded motherfackers... I have put 7 dasy of playtime so I know what im talking about.

I'm curious as to how a modded controller would help with knifing someone. It's still just a single button press equals a one-hit kill strike, right? It wouldn't help the range of strike capability, unless I'm mistaken. Them having a pistol with a (legit) Tac Knife combined with the Commando perk out can make a difference too.
My own experience has taught me that you can never underestimate the power of lag in this game. Sometimes it doesn't matter that I have the Commando perk and they don't... they'll still kill me when it *seems* like they shouldn't have. My favorites are the ones where I knife them, see the blood spurt animation sequence (indicating a "hit"), run beyond them and then I drop dead.
I've put a considerable amount of time in this game so far and I think I have a pretty observant eye to when things aren't "jiving," and I've only seen one instance so far where I thought there was the likelihood of someone using a modded controller of some sort (paired with an FAL - it's always the semi-automatic single fire weapons. It was *somewhat* common to see in CoD:W@W too). I do remember one game when I came across a guy using an M16 that seemed to be firing on full auto, but more likely than not that was probably just some vicious lag.

Whatever the case might be man, this guy I played with one time was so freakend fast he was going around knifing ppl like crazy. It could be a lag also but when u see the kill in the kill cam it gives you a second tought. Im assuming if he had a modded controller, it would help him move more faster than the normal speed making it a hard target to kill. Modded controllers can help you in many ways not just on firing I would assume. Whatever the case man we have to deal with all the BS online lol.
