Yeah, let the PC have some exclusives god damn it! If the consoles have to steal a PC exclusive, then vice versa has to happen, it should be a law!

yeah, and downvoting me is clearly going to make that happen for you.

i asked a simple question, how that got translated into me trying to "steal" exclusives from PC is beyond me. i suppose i shouldn't expect pc fanboys to be any better than console fanboys.

Oh, I actually didn't downvote you by the way. : )

I think it is a fair rule, if the consoles steal an exclusive, so should the PC. The PC gets shafted enough as it is, it deserves to keep some games of its own, you have plenty of exclusive games that PC will NEVER get, but I wish it would.

It's really annoying when people get downvoted for legitimate questions or discussion. The hostility in this place is getting annoying.

I picked up the first one for 5 bucks that day it was on sale, and a single run-through was enough: it just isn't that awesome, especially the 'immobilization' mechanic if you put on too much weight. As for the monsters, meh.

Wate... I'm officially incompetent, I'll volunteer myself for assisted living first thing in the morning as long I don't drown in my own drool during the night.

I never played the first sausage seeking iteration.

It's like a Garfield game's evil twin, but instead of an adorable orange cartoon cat chasing lasagna you're a scary zombie dude out for sausage.

I have the first one. I've only played for about an hour, and really didn't feel the urge to play anymore. It's just not that fun. Maybe I'll give it another try when things are slow.

This isn't already out yet? Huh. Anyways - I just couldn't get through the first one. I approved of the combination of RPG and stealth with FPS (Deus Ex is my all time favorite game) but it's insanely difficult and slowly paced. Just ends up being overly complicated. Plus a ridiculous amount of running back and forth across the game's large maps. I never thought large maps would be a bad thing, but in that case it definitely is.

I loved the stalker games, but I sure hope the player isn't railroaded into a sucky point-of-no-return endgame in this one. The player should be able to free roam and quest until the very end (and ideally, after it as well), and the choice to finish the game should be a clear one. In a game like this, once the freedom to roam and do quests is taken away, it feels like all your progress is being thrown out the window, and you're playing a completely different game.

The ending of clear sky was completely ruined for me for a few reasons. Firstly, I was full of gear, and (I vaguely remember) when you hit that last map you're just dumped in place with an extra rifle and expected to go go go.. So all of a sudden, at the most time-critical moment of the game, I'm having to dump gear and re-organize in order to be light enough to walk. This combined with the fact that the last map ran twice as slowly as anywhere else in the game on my old system made the whole thing an exercise in frustration that marred what was previously a great gaming experience.

You should stay off the crack, the closest thing to a final boss in STALKER was a helicopter. Otherwise there was just the monolith or the portal maze endings. No final boss.

Love the STALKER mythology and premise so I'll be buying this.

I'm looking forward to fighting the mutants and the coding until the inevitable mass of bugs are fixed!

Holy Crap! I Can't wait, STALKER games are awesome and plus you can get tons of mods to make the game even better. If you aren't afraid of scary mutants and want some challenge then this game is for you.

I loved the last two STALKER games but this time I am NOT going to buy it on STEAM if it's released on it.
STALKER is always buggy so patches are key to being able to actually enjoy the game but for some reason steam seems to like to release patches months after they are available for everyone else..
