WRUP: 'Game of the Year' big fight edition

Here's a little nugget about the inner workings of Joystiq: This weekend we declare among the staff our top games of 2009 and our personal picks for "game of the year," also known as GOTY. Each Joystiq member submits their nominations and then through math that's way above my head, we end up with the list. In all probability, there's going to be a big fight this year -- a really big fight! This is also why we don't share an office with each other, because some of us aren't afraid to a cut a ... well, you get the idea. What are you playing this weekend and what games do you think we should consider?

• Alexander Sliwinski (@XanderSliwinski): Still making my way through Assassin's Creed 2 -- need to take a second look at Uncharted 2. Meanwhile, having fun with New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Also, probably hooking up with some folks for Left 4 Dead 2.
• Andrew Yoon (@scxzor): Locking myself in a room to finish Assassin's Creed 2. Then, I'll take a dive into PixelJunk Shooter and take a gander at this early copy of the very-late release of White Knight Chronicles: International Edition.
• Ben Gilbert (@BigBossBgilbert): Putting Nathan Drake through his paces as fast as possible and taking down zombies left and right with foliage -- so I'm trying to tell you that I'm playing Red Faction Guerilla. That's what I'm saying.

• David Hinkle (@DaveHinkle): I'd like to talk about all of the games I plan to play, but I'm sure I'll just end up playing Modern Warfare 2 with Griffin all weekend.
• Griffin McElroy (@griffinmcelroy): Closing out the decade the same way I came into it: Pokémans Style. (Platinum, to be perfectly precise.) When I'm not all-catching, I'm planning on shooting kids. On Modern Warfare 2! Sorry, I'm working on my inappropriate pauses.
• James Ransom-Wiley: Wudya know? The towel trick works!
• JC Fletcher (@jcfletcher): Nothing sounds better right now than relaxing on the couch all weekend with New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Except doing that and drinking hot cocoa.
• Justin McElroy (@JustinMcElroy): I'm playing BioShock 2 for a preview. If I wrap that up, I'll move back to Dragon Age, I guess.
• Kevin Kelly (@gadgetguy): I just started scratching the surface with Assassin's Creed 2, and I'm still Modern Warfaring. Still need to jump back into Borderlands, and for some odd reason I've had an itch to delve back into Fable 2. But, I might finally open the plastic seal on Dragon Age. Finally. Maybe. If I want my weekend to vanish.
• Ludwig Kietzmann (@LudwigK): Future me called today and said I returned to Dragon Age: Origins for the weekend. And then he complained that it was Monday.
• Randy Nelson (@DangerPenguin) Just about done with Assassin's Creed II -- going for 100% completion. Then it's back to my current rotation: God of War Collection, Modern Warfare 2 and Might and Magic Clash of Heroes. If you haven't played that last one yet, you're really missing out. (Or don't have a DS, though it's the kind of game worth getting one for.)
• Richard Mitchell (@SenseiRAM): Just wrapped up Uncharted 2 and have to say it was pretty fantastic. Now, it's on to Borderlands! Also still working on Hotel Dusk and Torchlight when I can't get to a TV.
