You miss the point of Batman. Entirely.

No I don't. I'm one of the biggest Batman geeks on the planet. Trust me- I see the appeal of the game to a lot of folks.

I just found the game to be incredibly boring. It did nothing to make me "feel" like Batman. I wanted to actually play a game and be more actively engaged in it. Arkham Asylum did nothing for me as a video game.
The sneaking elements were fairly well done and admittedly enjoyable. The combat system (or lack thereof) is what I hated.

Ah this is how the cycle goes...

1. A game is commercially and Critcaly successful.

2. A Developer that have proven themselves announces a sequel less then a year later.

3.Thousands of people think the Developer is milking the franchise even though it is the second game in the franchise.

4.People start a protest group that gets over 10,000 members.

5.The game gets tonnes of publicity.

6.A quarter of the boycotters actually avoid playing the game.

Nice. First one was great. High hopes here. Oh and as to where it takes place. At 0:33 you'll see the name on the building is the Iceberg Lounge. This is The Penguin's nightclub which is actually located inside Gotham. So I'm hoping this means we get the whole city to romp about in.

Batman: Arkham Asylum was the game I desired for months. When I finally got it (first day it came out) I was amazed!! Truely one of my all time favourite games. I thought the boss battles were a little boring. In the sequel they should give the main villian role to, Two-Face or The Riddler and give Joker a backup role, and also I'd love to see the game based in Gotham.

I'd pay big money for that :)

Recently I just picked up the newest issue of PTOM (Playstation The Official Magazine) and in it they had an article about the most earnestly awaited sequels coming out this year. In it of course was the mention of Batman Arkham Asylums sequel. What caught my attention was that they state that there is hints in the trailer for the games possible villains such as the poster with Harvey "two face" dent, the Iceberg Lounge (penguins place), and the name 'Sionis' which is the real name of villain Black Mask but they mention a black cat (supposedly a nod toward catwoman) skulking about on a fire escape and after watching the trailer a few times, I still haven't been able to spot it, anyone else?
