Halo: Reach gameplay premieres with multiple Spartans (and some ladies!) [update: now with hi-res]

Update: Microsoft sent over a hi-res version of the trailer (seen above) as well as the screenshot in the gallery below. According to the publisher, Halo: Reach will follow the story of "Noble Team in their heroic stand to defend the planet Reach." The company also noted that a "multiplayer beta is coming [in] Spring 2010." Hooray!

As promised, Spike's 2009 Video Game Awards delivered the first footage (in-game, 'natch) of Halo: Reach to the masses. More Spartans? Check! Female Spartans? Check check! A skullfaced Spartan? Wait ... what?! Since the show just aired, we've got a low-res version of the trailer for you after the break and will have a prettied up version as soon as it's available.

I was hoping to see something other than a cutscene, but i loved the trailer anyway. I'm gonna assume that the spartans are the members of red team. and the female is kelly, maybe? but since when did a spartan get assigned to either red or blue team, seeing as they were the only two teams on Reach at the time of its attack... oh well...

I haven't seen the trailer [I'm capped -_-]

Be a nice reference to a certain doctor if the skull helmet spartan asked who turned out the lights.
But Bungie is American...

Looks weak, and the same. I was really hoping for something radically different from them, its just another Halo, with the same graphics and the same bad dialog. 2002 is over Bungie better get some new tricks.

I'm confused, the guy In the video said that "I read your file" but all the spartan II's grow up together?

They grew up together (if they were of the same group), but then they all split up and went their separate combat service ways. Reading the files probably meant reading what that Spartan has done while in service.

Gameplay premieres? Where did you see gameplay? Joystiq fail.

All i know is if they allow the customization loadouts of Modern Warfare with HALO....I am sold.

Not that I already wasn't.

Crackdown 2 & HALO: REACH.....looking like another good year for 360.
