Great trailer, and it will be a great birthday present seeing the full one when it gets put up on Live. I can't remember the last time I was this excited for a game, not even the 1st Mass Effect got me this excited.

Are you a little more confident in Martin Sheen in his role? I know it was short, but it seems like he's a good fit.

I had no doubt he was going to do a good job, Bioware doesn't fuck around with their voice acting, but it's hard seeing the Illusive Man with his voice because he's like a 40 something with a 60 something's voice.

Looks awesome.

Nice to see a game that has a great Sci-fi story, as well as great gameplay.

This is going to be epic.

I think I need to change my shorts.

Reach and this are worth owning a 360 for, solely. GotY competition is going to be tight next year.

2010 has some heavy hitters for GotY. FF XIII, Heavy Rain, Reach, ME2, and maybe a come from behind candidate.

ME2 is the only reason you need to own a 360.

Unless you have a capable PC.

Halo is 360-exclusive. Just because you don't care for it, doesn't mean I don't.

Maybe if ME2 was a 360 exclusive, I'd actually turn on my 360, which I haven't used since last year. But getting it for PC. ; )
For some reason, I'm more excited for the PS3 and its exclusives, but just my opinion, I may purchase one...

I'll say it right now, FF13 has no shot at any goty awards next year and ME2 will be a big reason why. It's going to show how far behind jrpgs are to western ones.

Don't forget Fallout New Vegas either, although Obsidian's developing it and it won't be as good as ME2.

Oh yes, I am also pumped for Fallout: New Vegas as some of the staff behind Fallout 1/2 are on this project. Fallout 3 wasn't bad, but I want these guys to school Bethesda on how to make a true Fallout game!

Those guys being behind it is the reason why I'm skeptical of the game. Fallout 1 and 2 were boooooring games, part of the way old PC rpgs used to be that I can't stand. Fallout 3 was a masterpiece, and it needs to be like that or close to it, if it's anything like Dragon Age's combat or any other boring pc rpg's combat then I want nothing to do with that game.

I know it's silly to start goty talk for 2010 already but you haven't even mentioned my picks. My big three are GoW3, RDR and Conviction (Well Brad you did mention that). While it probably won't be goty worthy Wakey boy could be a dark horse.

Yeah, I played Fallout 1 back in 98 and 2 in 99 as a child (born in 87 like you), so I got used to that style and I find them far better than 3. I'm an old-school Fallout guy, not like you console gaming whippersnappers where 3 is your only foray into the series. ; )

I haven't played similar games like Baldur's Gate though, I haven't even tried them, dunno why.

If i recall ME for PC was a pretty bad port (compared to the 360 version) and vise versa for Dragon Age. Point being I get Bioware games on the console they focus on. In this case ME2 is being made for 360 first and PC second. Sucks cuz by that time I will have my new rig with windows 7 built. ah well.

If I recall, Dragon Age wasn't even supposed to be on the consoles until EA pushed BioWare into making quick ports to maximize exposure and profit.

I haven't had any issues with Mass Effect on the PC except for a bug that also affects the 360 version of the game. Yeah, Bioware got another studio, Demiurge to port it to the PC, it was an afterthought to them, that's why it didn't get the Collector's Edition the 360 version did. Fuck, even the $20 Greatest Hits version for 360 has the extra, special disc with interviews, artwork, making of, etc. and nothing for my $20 PC copy. : (

But on the PC, Demiurge made a whole new interface for it to cater to keyboard and mouse, nice of them. Elevators load a lot faster, less texture pop-in, new door unlocking mini-game, Mako handling better, etc.

Bioware did the opposite for Dragon Age, developed it for PC and got another studio to port it to consoles. Glad you switched around Bioware.

Your right Darth. I am pissed because the PC version was done earlie this year but fucking EA wanted to delay it to launch the same time as the console versions. Oh, so the finished PC version has to wait for the console versions to be ready and for other multiplatform games, the PC version gets delayed by months, if it ever comes out. Fucking wonderful!

Bioware still hasn't said if Mass Effect 2 for the PC will have the same PC-exclusive interface from the 1st game or share the same interface as the 360 version. Hmm...

They've released the system requirements. Controllers aren't on the supported input devices. There's no reason to do that and not use the new interface.

F me, I cannot wait for this game. I wasn't even that into the original, but the story should be solid, and carry me through this one even if the gameplay possibly lets me down.
