Mass Effect 2 cinematic trailer teases 'full-length' version for Dec. 22 XBL debut

Snagged from IGN's "Ultimate Holiday Videogame Guide" comes this Mass Effect 2 cinematic trailer ... well, teaser trailer may be more accurate. While the above video shares nearly a minute and a half of delicious cinematic video (read: this isn't in-game, folks) the end promises the "full-length trailer" will premier on Xbox Live on December 22, just a few days before ecksmas.

So you can take "Mass Effect 2 cinematic trailer" off your wishlist and bump up "Mass Effect 3 cinematic trailer."

Yvonne Strahovski not only voices a character... but her character also looks like her?! I'm sold.

I liked the trailer and I'm psyched for the game but why don't they show any of the badass chicks on the team in the trailer? Why is it only the 'band of brothers" to quote them?

Also, I know it's a marketing thing, but I played as a female Shepherd and it's weird to see this other Shepherd as the default one in trailers. Why can't it ever be a female Shepherd in the marketing vids either? Her voice acting was 10x better anyway and it was awesome to see Shepherd could do the same things as male Shepherd could do.

Because it is the "Band of Brothers" version of the trailer, I'm presuming the full version will show them.

Consistency. They don't want people thinking that they're two separate characters in the game.

When did it get to the point where we're having trailers for longer trailers?

Why hasn't a Hollywood Producer stepped up and turned this into the next BSG? or dare I say Star Wars...the IP is certainly good enough. Jan 26'th cant come soon enough.
