Because that's what he wears in the movie and this is a shameless cash-in.

this is a huge step back from what they were trying to achieve before, but i will not judge a game by its trailer anymore.

Prince of Persia: The Game of the Movie of the Sequel in the Trilogy of the Remake of the Game.
Rolls off the tongue, don't it?

Wow.. I guess I'm the only one glad they abandoned the Prince of Persia reboot.

1. A dirty cash in on Sands of Time doesn't mean they've abandoned the PoP '08 line.

2. PoP '08 was awesome.

They've said that this game is unrelated to the movie, but there's really no reason why else they'd go back to a completed trilogy after rebooting the franchise. You see, no matter what they say, they totally gave themselves away by having this trailer narrated with an epic movie announcer voice. Plus, the Prince's face has indeed changed. It's softer now, kinda like Jake Gyllen... wait...

Yeah, totally a cash in, too bad they're using the great Sands universe to do it :(

and yes, the prince, totally gyllenhaal-ish.

my only complaint so far is that the prince looks polish and not persian, do i blame the movie for this you dont get a white guy to play the prince what whould everybody say if an olive skinned person or even black person played batman in the next film?

Having played both "series", I would strongly recommend the "reboot" over the "original" trilogy. It's the only PoP game I truly enjoyed, beginning to end.

0_o They made the prince look like Gyllenhaal.

Wouldn't it have been better for the continuity of the series if they made Gyllenhaal look more like the prince?

Uh... to be honest, the first thing that came to mind when the CG kicked in was: "Diablo II cut-scenes! It's Diablo II cut-scenes!"
