Well, with that developer pedigree, it's not like the game is going to be worth a damn...

...wow that is some game with a pinch of hope. If this game does good then it will be the if Chuck Norris makes it be good.

i think they should get some Wii Sport devs in there.

That pic looks like the title screen to an SNES game.

Also, M-rated doesn't mean good.

Oh hey I guess it's from the Amiga game mentioned. Makes sense.

I bet the Wii game will look just as bad though!

That's probably what it will look like too. I can't wait for the inevitable neogaf thread when the screenshots first pop up. I remember the COD4 reflex thread and screens and how epic that was, I have no doubt this will be the same.

Oh man tmac it was so epic. Everyone is going to remember the day those bad screen shots showed up on what is considered to be a pretty good game hailing decent reviews.

Man wii owners, egg on your face.

Let's make this the official Hilariously Bad Game thread. From Gumball Dad:

city bus simulator 2010 fun facts
-there are more controls that need to be mapped in this game than there are keys on the keyboard
-cannot save/load games
-walking into a moving car melds your character model into the hood with no way of escaping other than to restart the game
-you cannot actually pick up passengers. they just stand at the bus stop even when you follow proper bus stop/pickup protocols
-all ai character models freeze in place if you are not in a bus
-you cannot walk up curbs

raezr posted:

can i get a few examples of these? or all of them that's fine too.

f5-open front door
f6-close front door
f7-open back door
f8-close back door
insert-lower wheelchair ramp
home-extend wheelchair ramp
del-raise wheelchair ramp
end-retract wheelchair ramp

btw, when you start the game none of the 118 keys are mapped. you must go through the menu and map them all yourself. then every time you need to do something, you go into the options menu to find out what key you set as what.

The game ended up looking good and playing well. It was a typical case of internet overreaction.

Honestly, my feelings on the matter is that if it was a good game, they'd try to release it on all consoles and give the Wii it's own spin-off/adaptation, whatever you want to call it.

Also, the fact these guys have a bunch of fucking fitness games to their name doesn't inspire much hope.

Things like this is the reason why I'll stick to mainly first party Nintendo games for the Wii & go w/ the PS3 or PC for other games.

I loved that Amiga game! I think that was the gateway drug to XCOM and Jagged Allience for me.

Ah, if only this was a turn based strategy as well...

That would incredibly awesome if it was a 3D isometric turn-based tactical combat game. The pointer could probably make that workable on a console.

But no. Mediocre FPS inbound. At least there's Jagged Alliance on the DS.

That was an awesome Amiga game back in the day! I was hoping for a Wii-make...

It would be nice if Nintendo got together with the idiots running Amiga now and got some Amiga games on the VC...

*cough* BUDG *cough* ET. Yes?

Maybe I'm being cynical just assuming they wouldn't release a 'real' game with that pedigree...

They must have read the sign that stated every single developer ever must create a "gritty" fps this generation.

As a Wii owner and FPS fan, I'll cling to a shred of hope that this will be the Wii's first fully featured FPS. It will come bundled with a wireless headset, locked in at +30fps, DLC, no friend codes, and 257 multiplayer(MAG +1). The 'Pyro' edition will come with a real flamethrower that melts nightvision goggles to faces.
