No More Heroes 2 and Pokemon Soul Silver are definite buys. Red Steel 2, Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom, and Ace Attorney Investigations are games I'll definitely check out.

So that's 5 games in the first three months of 2010 I'm interested in. Nintendo's off to a good start.

Some have already mentioned the lack of Sin & Punishment, and I guess I'd echo that concern. Though, if the game has been delayed, to say like summer, I wouldn't say that was a bad thing. Annoying, but not bad. The first three months look a little congested, and it's not like plans for localisation have been dropped following its retail performance in Japan. Right?

Anyway, even if it's another glorious rail shooter, S&P is only my second most anticipated game: Infinite Space being number one. Again and Capcom Vs really look cool as well.

Pokemon Soul Silver will officially be my first Pokemon purchase sine Stadium 2. I also never noticed how sexy the Endless Ocean logo was, in that corporate sort of fashion at least.

Definitely want to see how Sky Crawlers does, that's been on my radar since it was announced.

Not much new information. I'm excited for Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Mega Man 10, Sands of Destruction, Squishy Tank, Cheer We Go, Data East Collection, and Shantae. I'm disappointed by the lack of release dates for Castlevania Adventure Rebirth, Pole’s Adventure, Dragon Quest IX, Sin & Punishment 2, Shadow Tower, Viral Survival, Golden Sun, Line Attack Heroes, Span Smasher, and Monado.

I'd expect Golden Sun DS to be a Fall 2010 release. MAYBE May-June at the earliest.

Also, Monado will likely be Fall 2010, if not pushed back to 2011.

The lack of Galaxy 2 disappoints me, but the inclusion of No More Heroes 2 make me oh so happy!

In any case there are way too many games to buy already.

They're trying not to cut the legs off of New Super Mario Bros. A foolish concern i say, since the people who will really be after Galaxy 2 are generally going to be the core gamer anyway, the early adopters of NSMBWii

Galaxy 2 wouldn't hurt NSMBWii's legs at all.

I honestly don't see anything on that list for Wii and DS that I want to buy. There's like 2 games that I'll end up gameflying (NMH2 and Red Steel 2), but that's about it. Thank god I'll have about 3 years of games to catch up on for Wii, should hold me until Galaxy 2.

No I won't be paying $10 for an NES game, and I won't gamefly a heavily japanese fighting game. I don't even really know why I'm gameflying NMH2, that game's waaaay too japanese for me but for whatever reason, I will be.

On the one hand, that list is surprisingly devoid of shovelware.

On the other hand, it's missing entries like Sin & Punishment and Cave Story.

'eh, I'll definitely be buying Shantae, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Mega Man 10, Infinite Space and Zombie Panic.
Looks like my Try Before Buy list includes No More Heroes 2, Red Steel 2 (pretty sure I won't like it, but I'm a sucker for anything cell shaded and having good art direction), Shiren the Wanderer, Fragile and Glory of Hercules.
Really want to try Max & the Magic Marker, too, since it looks kind of neat, but I don't have really high hopes for it.

Overall, it's not a bad list...and at least they finally had the good enough sense to clear out most of the trash from it and let the gems stand out more.

Seems like a lot of those games announced at the October Media Summit at 2008 are just cursed to be infinitely delayed. Though S&P2 is out in Japan.

Oh, there's an Endless Ocean 2? Wonderful. That game proved to be very surprisingly competent and well-suited to the platform. As a bargain-priced game, it was definitely worth it and it was actually accessible to my mother because the controls were so intuitive(not something you can say about every Wii game, that's certain).

Well, Nintendo, Hudson, Capcom, and to a lesser extent UBIsoft and Atlus score again! All this and we don't even see other core titles that I'm looking for form those companies in '10, like the ones other folks have mentioned -- Super Mario Galaxy 2, Sin & Punishment 2, Metroid Prime: Other M, Monster Hunter 3, Dragon Quest Vi, Dragon Quest IX, Castlevania Adventure Rebirth, Cave Story, Golden Sun, Line Attack Heroes, Span Smasher, Monado, etc. etc.

...Let alone other we know can expect that I didn't notice other's mention, i.e. Hudson's Tower of Shadows and Bonk: Extinction, Sakura Wars, Radio Allergy Noir (Radirgy shmup sequel), Dragon Quest X, Tales of Graces, and a whole slieu of DSi titles that were released in Japan but not yet the West. I'm glad to have both JPN and US systems this gen!

I can understand why Western-FPS/action gamers who are enamored with HD graphics don't "find much" on the Wii/DS but for traditional gamers raised on more Japanese style titles (JRPGs, platformers, shmups, puzzle games, adventure games, etc.) Nintendo and the 3rd parties that have tried on it's systems continue to offer me plenty of options.
