Agreemsg! Blaster Master is probably one of the top ten games in original-NES history.

I could get to the end-boss (the guy with the whip), but could never beat him. Excuse me, I ... these aren't tears, I've just been cutting onions.

it's a shame they didn't put up the Genesis version, it was a remake of the NES version but nicer graphics.

much like Marble Madness made the upgrade.

You beat him by attacking its weak point for massive damage.

@Obie

That weak spot is tighter than a virgin!
They should make a special shampoo for Giant Enemy Crabs

I beat the game...once. with the help of gamegenie (unlimited lives/continues). I spent countless hours on this game....fantastic concept/gameplay/music. One of Sunsoft's greatest achievements.

Master Blaster, lol. As in the Beyond Thunderdome character?

@Draco

Actually, the Genesis game isn't a remake, it's a sequel. And even ignoring its hideous art-style, it's a much lesser game than the original. Not that I'd have any objection to its eventual VC release, but I think most people are happier to see this one.

Blaster Master was one of my favorite NES games. I was so determined to find that fucking frog, I used to leave my NES on for days.

Well, there is still love for the VC. I'm proud, Nintendo.

Remove the damn Classic controller requirement and I'll be ecstatic.

This is slightly off topic, but I didn't know until recently that Bubble Bobble 2 was originally ONLY released to video rental stores, thus making it one of the rarest NES carts out there.

@ Draco

Those who have actually played Blaster Master 2 know that it is a vastly inferior SEQUEL to Blaster Master, not a remake. Hang your head in shame!

Blaster Master was a great game, but god was it damn hard. It would be great to get an updated version with the ability to save progress.

No kidding. This is the real issue here, people! There's a new 2D Castlevania out there and I'm not playing it yet! Inconceivable
