I can see why someone would buy this for the awesome-looking downloadable content, but that statue is god-awful.

Wait, what the hell? The US is the biggest gaming market! We're supposed to get all the cool Limited Editions! This is madness!

Me too, there's just something that makes me always want to buy the CE over the regular edition of the game, damn you psychology! That's why its sometimes good multiplatform games on the PC don't get a CE when the console versions do, keeps me from going broke. : )

I know what you mean.

I think the figure can go in between my AC1 and AC2 figures or maybe beside my Batarang... poor wallet.

Bats, I'm sure you'd be delighted to know that Batman figures take up 80% of my figure shelves.

Unfortunately Darth,

Because we are the bigger market and our money is secured [meaning they know that we here on this side of the pond (in the USA) are gonna buy it anyway].., companies dont care about taking care of us.., ESPECIALLY since no one really until the AC2 release has done a good LIMITED anything. UBI is also a french company so im sure that that has something to do with it. The dumb thing is after having spent 70+ on the first assassins creed and getting the insult of a figure I think that every UBI game should have a feature character figure like my EZIO from AC2 that ones REALLY nice and worth the extra few bucks ;)

Glad that statue won't be included in the NA release, it'd be an instant ebay flip for me if it were. My shelf space is too valuable for sub-par collectibles. /smug

If you're talking about the Sega 32x I'd be curious to see some photos of your display. I'm all for old school hardware. Hunting down a mint-condition Dreamcast after xmas (when I finally have money again) simply for display purposes.

It's not huge, but it's there.

Still, my favorite 'collectable' is my signed Cortana poster.

"It's not huge, but it's there."
- That's what she said (sorry, bud)

"Still, my favorite 'collectable' is my signed Cortana poster."
- Signed by Jen Taylor? If so, I'm envious. My dream is to get her to sign a Rule 34 of Zoey and Cortana. Now THAT would sit on my mantle nicely.

This release is on my radar, but I haven't played a Splinter Cell game since Chaos Theory... Have I missed anything? Was Double-Agent actually any good?

I enjoyed everything DA had to offer, it has a lot of replay value and some really good in game puzzles, and although different good multiplayer. I thought the visuals were underwhelming but far from looking bad.

@Temidien,

Double agent was pretty good you should grab a used copy from gamestop [10 ish bux (US) / 5 sterling / quid] its worth a play. But if you look at this new one once it's out it's going to completely redefine splinter cell.., they introduced some very realistic Krav Maga style fighting [which is super apparent in the videos from the way he holds his gun and shoots behind him / spins around real quick.] it also has visually become much more style noir like. Go to gametrailers.com or you tube or just do a random search engine search and hit the videos.., games gonna be intense.., Im pretty excited for it.

@chris.rackley

yes sir we did, major screwage

@ Darth Bradwart

32 times for the world~! we used to mess with customers on the 1800 help line at SEGA just to make our days go smoother and would tell the little kids that the X in 32 x was pronounced 'times' and around the office even called it the '32 times' lols fun days those were. That and rasta Bob was always a fun one on the phone. ;) I remember doing the 900 line too and I would have people that were stuck in the game and I would have save files where they were and theyd ask me to play with them and visually describe where they needed to go etc when they were stuck. Strat Guides kinda killed it for everybody though :'(

It's all good, just reminded me of the time a girl ranted to me for 20 minutes at a party for not calling her after a one night stand (I had never met/seen her before in my life). Turns out there's a guy who looks just like me out there making a killing.

That statue pretty much sucks, but I'd far rather get the OST over the art book we're getting in the US. I'd look at the book maybe once, but the OST I would actually get some use.

Gotta love exclusives that break the game's balance by giving you access to equipment sooner than the game designers expected...

Yah I agree.., I choose not to even use them when its 'early access' because its not how the game was designed and might ruin the gaming experience. Being the industry for all those years I think that I might be jaded or a bit elitest now but try not to have that negative attitude that goes along with it, lolz. Although I am particular about how I play, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. If its just an exclusive item thats not overly powerful and or is just cool factor or maybe some braggarts rights or something then I might and or lean to generally do [use the code]. Even if i dont use the items. Great point though~!

Yah I am still a bit pissy about that. I was talking to the guy at the gamestop across the street from work and they asked if i preordered it and i told them i did over at game crazy and they gave me a hard time about that but not a single one of them told me that big daddy set for the 360 was gamestop only. I was overly pissed off when I found out and they were like you should have ordered with us.., and I was like you should have done your damn job and told me it was an exclusive!~ Alas no big daddy on my desk to keep EZIO company.

Aww shit, this game is just around the corner. Can't wait. Figurine sucks but this has a very good chance of being my favourite game next year and I'll get it just because I'm a fan of the series.
