As if the wait for Final Fantasy XIII wasn't already difficult enough, Square Enix's assistant PR director, Sonia Im, is making it even more torturous. On her Twitter account, Im teased "something cool most of you can participate in a few days from now" within a mysterious Square Enix memo. Im later added that the memo "eluded [sic] to something stylish." If you squint, the date in the memo seems to be December 17, which would coincide with a PSN update.
It's anybody's guess past that, but we're hoping for a totally magical Final Fantasy-themed fancy dress party for us and a few of our closest friends, set inside PlayStation Home. Can you even imagine?
That, or a demo like the one our Japanese friends already have. Either way.

I would take a PSN demo, or even something like the Killzone "Behind the Bullet" thing.
But Its probably just a trailer with a date for another trailer to come out which will in turn announce a web site which announces that Lightning is actually a male character and we had it all wrong.

It's not a demo, rumor smashed on the same twitter account.
If it's a Animated theme for PS3 I'll be very disappointed.

It was confirmed by Joystiq that the UK and the US box art is identical, save for the PEGI/ESRB boxes.

Sad but true - the cover art does leave much to be desired for such a beautiful game... but when I get the game the last thing I'll be worried about is how the cover looks.

Dress Spheres were a conflict of interest for me. Magical girl transformation sequences? Yay! ...In Final Fantasy? Not so much. But still yay? It was hellish, lemme tell you. I think it may have indirectly led me to Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha. Make of that what you will.
Of course, that's small potatoes next to the plot, which was just god-awful.

Oh, and they were also musicians. I think that was what pissed me off the most. Summoner turned pop idol. Gah.

It's true - she's Tweeted it two or three times now. This is NOT a demo.
I have no clue what this could be... but it probably won't be anything too exciting. I just want to play the game!!

this will be the first japanese RPG that i'll have bought new since... FF7. the genre really needs something, most games just seem to "safe".
they change it up all the time, but it never really seems to advance much.
either way, the game looks good.

It's not a demo people, the same twitter said it wasn't, so it's probably an animated PS3 theme, with a countdown.

I counting down the days for this game! I'm a FF addict and I really need my FF13 dosis right now.
On the other hand I appreciate this game will be out till next year, since I'm still finishing GoW: Collection and I've yet to start playing Assassin Creed 2 & Star Wars Unleashed: Sith Edition (Already bought them)

Sucks that it's not a demo, seeing as us American gamers got robbed by not having one included with the Advent Children blu-ray (which I skipped thanks to that). :(
Still... March can't get here soon enough...

So has it been confirmed whether or not the US PS3 version will include JP voice acting with subtitles?
Because god damn the English voices for Square games are always awful.

Sadly the teaser that was reported yesterday is NOT a demo. Sonia Im has confirmed, again, via her Twitter that the surprise hinted at yesterday is not the demo.
Her tweet confirming that is as follows; "Think it's best if I set expectations for my #FFXIII tweet. It is NOT a demo. But it's cool regardless! So please don't be too disappointed"
maybe some new gameplay video that's what i think but it's not a demo
