Banjo & Kazooie spotted on Xbox version of Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing

One of these box arts is not like the others. Yep, you'll notice that the Xbox 360 version of Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing has two added bonuses: Banjo and Kazooie. At first, we were quick to dismiss the image as nothing more than a fan mock-up. However, TSSZ discovered that all of these box arts can be seen on Sega's server (Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii).

If the addition of Banjo and Kazooie to Sega's kart racer sounds familiar, it's because it was part of a Sega leak earlier this year that contemplated this exact partnership. Revisiting the supposedly leaked Sega document reveals a number of bullet points that have already come true: the PS3 price drop, Alpha Protocol's delay and Yakuza's localization. The addition of Banjo & Kazooie to the Sonic racer is a nice bonus; however, should other aspects of the Sega document come true, it could mean PS2 and Dreamcast games are coming to PSN.

i think it's pretty safe to say that PS2 games are coming to PSN soon. Most of the things on that list have come true it's just a matter of when we'll finally see PS2 titles.

They've got some games for that. Mod Nation Racers, and Super Mario Kart should fufill your Kart Racing Needs.

I still never got the disappointment with MKWii. The kart controls were a little loose compared to Double Dash (which wasn't a function of Wii controls, more an issue of kart weight and such), but otherwise i think it probably is the best one so far, but i never understood the love for 64 as the best beyond nostalgia.

See, I actually thought everyone considered SMK as the best. It's my personal favorite (haven't played MKWii beyond a store demo).

I thought MK Wii was absolutely awesome. I totally am in love with that game, the replay value is high and I thought the wheel controlled like a dream. Online multiplayer was great, and I still like jumping on for a match every now and then. Only complaint is the way items work out during a race sometimes, but that's it.

I didn't mean to imply that MK Wii was awful or anything, it just wasn't up to par as an MK game in my opinion. Seemed like a step back from double dash.

There is no doubt in my mind Sony will be selling PS2 games on PSN... It's was part of the strategy for dropping BC. Cost as well, yes.

IMO, the better Rare cast would be Killer Instinct peeps. Imagine that.

The ONLY character I would race as is Fulgore.

I'm sure you would, but you can't. However, we'll be able to settle this for realzies once Killer Instinct 3 comes out in Q3 next year.

if ps3 and wii dont have exclusive characters than the cover isnt the only thing lazy about this game. hell, they could take the same car sets and everything from banjo and kazooie and just reskin them to playstation and nintendo characters. sure that in itself is lazy, but its better than being shafted completely...

I think the buzz that Sega's Dreamcast games might be coming to PSN is good for Sony and bad for Microsoft regardless of what's really in the works. If Microsoft were with it, they'd either push Sega to squash the rumor or make some kind of Dreamcast-XBLA deal and announcement of their own this week. And speaking of Sega and "squash", Cosmic Smash for XBLA, please?

I just want Sega to release Propeller Arena.

Drake wouldn't fit in with the other characters..

There's a reason why Ratchet and Clank wasn't allowed to be in this game... The only reasons I can think of is either they're getting their own racing games, or they'll be dlc on Modnation Racers.

I hope they add other characters as cheap DLC. Maybe packs - two or three characters from a specific game each time.

My biggest beef with all of these Sega All-Stars-type games is an over-abundance of the irritating cutesy bollocks from Sonic. Beyond Eggman, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles, they can all die in a pit of fiery dicks.

The trailer for Banjo-Kazooie 3 (as it was known at the time) was the last straw for me getting my 360. Does this mean...i HAVE to buy this?!?
