Well at least, this is not the bug like we have reported today. Anyway, it was still cool though! sadly, the fun will surely ends now that it has been publicized.

Wow, the glitches are getting out of control. It's a little over a month and this game can be completely broken (nothing like stumbling into a round of domination with 3(!) teams and unlimited score/time). The saddest part is that these glitches arise from functions that are common to multiplayer games, and they couldn't even get them right. I'm scared to see how far this will go.

My god...the sheer arrogance coming out of that company.

They obviously aren't aware that the top developers (Blizzard, Valve, id, Bungie) haven't gotten to where they are by shitting on the community. I think Infinity Ward is in for a serious reality check soon.

BTW, I saw the MW2 PC sales figures. 170 thousand copies at retail.

The 170k figure is just from box sales for the month of november.

It does not include steam or other digital distribution points...the number is likely way higher then that because honestly I don't know of a single person that bought the PC version in a store over steam.

i think it is obvious that activision got the money they wanted and is now content with providing as little support as possible and as slowly as they can.

Seems that way. 170k copies at retail, and God knows how many more through digital distribution (I wouldn't be surprised if the digital sales pushed that number past a million)

This experiment of theirs, namely charging a console price for a PC game, and killing dedicated servers, seems to have worked for them. All we can do now is hope that other developers (to be fair, Activision may have made the decision) don't follow suit.

Fuck Yea. Now get that shit done IW. I have it for the 360 and you can have another 60 bucks when you make this game what it should have been in the first place.

*Sigh* I don't get this, you guys write for a gaming blog but then you make that comment, it was obvious you were leaning towards the stereotypical 'gamer' image. We can't have a civil war between nerds.

I understand IW's not wanting to support mods, etc., as the majority of players won't use it. But, I'm of the opinion that you shouldn't turn your back on your hardcore fans to please the millions of fans that just jumped on the bandwagon.

Once the CoD fad wears off (let's face it, that's a big part of it right now), if you turn away your fans who have bought every game, you'll have no one left. And it's not like IW has a bunch of other IP to fall back on.

I think that is exactly why they are doing this. IW got its start on PC, where better could an upstart come along and take over. Its gets big on PC moves on to consoles, and profits.

Consoles bring in tons of money but the market is also insanely competitive. Just look at the VGA awards with all its success MW2 couldn't pull GOTY. So now you have the PC gamers ignoring you, the consoles gamers will move on to the next big thing in a couple months. Me thinks IW just caught wind of something coming down the line that will upset their apple cart.

Between BFBC2, MoH, Spec Ops, Halo: Reach, etc, the console FPS market is looking mighty crowded next year. Not to mention Treyarch's next CoD, which i'll be more interested in buying than IW's next project, that's for sure. At least they supported the hell out of WaW.

Considering MW2 still has one of the highest log-in rates for a game with online multiplayer, I don't think anything is "too little too late". Plenty of people interested in these tools will still be willing to use them when they come out.

I'm also starting to think your irrational hatred for IW comes from their lack of dedicated servers, which is a pretty much the biggest cry baby thing to whine about. I could understand if you had legit comlaints about gameplay in Modern Warfare 2, but you seem to be butthurt more about it being a product of IW.

I don't like Eidos for their review bribery, but I don't take that anger out by forcing myself to hate good games.

I do have legitimate complaints. It's not a terribly well made game. The campaign was horrible, the online is becoming more and more unplayable, the game's balance is all out of whack, matchmaking is terrible, etc. It's why I've gone back to the first Modern Warfare, which is a far more enjoyable experience.

DJ janny.

dedicated servers are a perfectly legitimate concern. And as for gameply concerns, i think lack of customization for gametypes falls under that, as does the constant glitches and hacks that are running rampant on both consoles and PC.

so please shut up, if you cannot see that you bought a game with a terrible single player (horrible story and extremely short) and a terribly uncustomizable multiplayer, thats not my problem, it's yours.

Dont try to hate on PC gamers or console gamers because they would rather wait out for a different, and in thier opinion a better game such as Battlefield.

so please. fuck off.

"dedicated servers are a perfectly legitimate concern"

Actually they aren't if no real problems rise as a direct result. I've had less issues with matchmaking, host migration, and lag than I have in games with dedicated servers. It's literally just some thing whiney babies latch onto in order to rationalize some type of cool-kid hate for the game. Much similar to people bitching endlessly about how Dante's Inferno is too much like God of War, even though no one really bitches about how similar games like Saint's Row are to GTA.

Get over it. IW isn't some moustache stroking villain, plotting to ruin games for you.

"Dont try to hate on PC gamers or console gamers because they would rather wait out for a different, and in thier opinion a better game such as Battlefield."

I have no issue with PC gamers, though I do have an issue with PC elitists. I'm kind of dissapointed though because Bradwart actually backed his opinion up. You just tarded out. Congrats, you make worse posts than Bradwart.

"terribly uncustomizable multiplayer"

PS just noticed this. I'm 100% sure you haven't played the game now (which pretty much backs up my argument that most peope whining about the lack of server dedication have no idea what the game's actual quality is like). I mean yeah all those weapon add-ons, perks, killstreak upgrades, emblem bonuses, and weapon options make for terrible multiplayer. And the challenges that help you upgrade all these weapons? Forget about it! This is a lame horse, F-.

It is actually in there. I believe they just disabled it in the config. Hackers apparently can use it, and it is considered a cheat if you try to enable it.

Or more importantly, this:

Steadily fewer people playing, while MW1 is still going strong.

Funny that, I wonder why...
