The Demoman class in Team Fortress 2 is the first to reveal its changes coming in the new "War" update, gifting everyone's favorite one-eyed Scot with the "Close Combat Kit." Consisting of the deliciously punny Eyelander sword and Chargin' Targe, these medieval weapons are quite the departure from the Demoman's usual high-tech, exploding arsenal. As badass as these weapons are, using them does come with a price.
The sword guarantees a decapitation with every killing blow; however, it will initially suck away the user's health. But for every soul it's fed, it'll provide the player with a boost to health and speed. The ability stacks, up to four kills.
The shield takes the place of the sticky bomb launcher and, once equipped, provides +50% fire damage resistance and +65% blast damage resistance. From a combative standpoint, using alt-fire while equipping the shield will cause the Demoman to charge at ludicrous speed towards an enemy, doling out some serious damage should he connect. Also, doing that will give the Demoman the chance to attack with his sword mid-charge, providing greater chance to up the damage count.

There's a great Cracked article about people that make 'Rambo look like a pussy'. One of them was a Scottsman that carried a sword (with which he captured numerous foes) into World War 2, and was pissed that it ended 'so soon'. Now I think we know who the Demoman really is.

Yeah I remember reading that article. There were a lot of crazy warriors in there. Are you sure he was a Scot though?
There was also this crazy sniper who they called "White Death" or something like that.

From the site I linked which is a lot more historically accurate than "Cracked.com". He was from Hong Kong according to many other sources with English parents.
This may surprise you, but Scotland isn't England. Oops, Disco-whatever was right. Take your "defeat" back.

Alright! Time to clean my dice (no homo), dust the character sheets, and get a table! Now, should I give my Heavy Intelligence or Wisdom? If I go INT I can speak Medic and give a bonus to my saving throws.

@Rhamsey: There's no overlord on PC so Valve can release free content. Microsoft is the overlord of 360Land, so they get to decide whether or not they release the content free or not. I assure you MS was the one enthusiastic about charging for the dee-el-see.

CH3BURASHKA, I think you missed what I was trying to say. I know that it was more likely than not MS who made the L4D dlc cost money, and I'm ok with that, but what I'm not ok with is people blaming microsoft for making Valve charge for dlc, then them using it as an excuse as to why Valve didn't give dlc for the game. I'm ok with paying for the dlc (especially for TF2), I just want the choice to buy or not to buy it.

Lawls, I thought we was talkin' aboot moneys. Your perspective is understandable, but honestly, get them both for the PC: it's better that way.

It's difficult to add so much extra stuff into the core game on a console since it's a closed system unlike the PC where you can just add RAM yourself (80% of Steam users have 2GB or more of RAM). Valve got very close to that small 512MB limit already with vanilla TF2 on the 360. They said that they made some memory optimizations, but they've had three major updates since they made that announcement, so they're likely over the limit again.

Riddle me this, as a multiplayer game, if a person who didn’t buy the DLC plays on the same map as a person who did… would the person who did buy the DLC be able to use their bought weapons? As the person who didn’t buy the DLC doesn’t have the code to even see said weapon, let alone its stats, how would it work on them?
It would be like a vanilla server on the PC; people have the unlocked weapons, but can’t use them because the server doesn’t support it. So what good would the DLC be?
They’d have to split up the community into the DLC buyers, and non-buyers; and considering the updates are going out pretty much one class at a time this isn’t feasible right now because you’d have so many groups of people with certain sets of DLC, and they can only play with people who bought the exact same sets as them.
Once all the updates are released it can all go out together so Valve will only have to worry about two camps: the people who bought it, and the people who didn’t.
tl;dr: If you didn't read this, why the hell would you reply?

There is a difference between TF2 upgraded weapons and say, MW2 upgraded weapons. TF2 weapons are :"sidegrades" in that even when one team has all the upgraded weapons and the other has only stock weapons, the game is still balanced. There are plenty of people who still don't have new weapons on the pc version but have no problem with the balance of the game Because of this, DLC weapons would NOT upset the balance of the game or divide the community.
Another thing to consider about why they aren't updating the 360 version. The 360 version has had poor community support from the get-go, and a lot less people play the game on 360 than the PC. So while it would be nice to support the community is there, there's a large investment to satisfy very few people, which is a hard thing to justify. You also have to consider that every time Valve updates TF2, sales skyrocket for a short period of time. If they did update the 360 version, it's doubtful they'd see a sales increase at all. Add in the fact that they're already pushing the engines efficiency on the 360, and microsoft certification for everything, and it's pretty clear that it's a large project for Valve to bring these updates to the PC with not a lot of return. It would be awesome if they could do it, but I doubt it's gonna happen.

I wasn't referring to the problem with balance, as you said, there wouldn't be one.
What I'm referring to is people who buy the DLC won't be able to play with people who did.
Its like buying an expansion, a person who owns Diablo 2, and only Diablo 2, cannot play with someone who made a LoD character. Same deal with these DLC options a person who bought the Pyro update won't be able to use those weapons whith someone who didn't.
Splitting up the community that much is just not an option; best course of action is to wait till all the updates are complete and sell it as one package, then you'd only have the same problem D2 and LoD has. A community split in two, rather then a community split in (9!). (Cause there's many combinations of the 9 DLC.)

Don't you think if they kept supporting the 360 then they would actually have a fan base there and people would still play it to this day?
