Do you love the Dead or Alive franchise? Do you wish Tecmo would just get rid of all that pesky fighting and volleyball gameplay and give fans what they really want out of the franchise: quality alone time with the DoA girls? Thankfully, Tecmo has answered that call. Seriously.
The latest issue of Famitsu reveals a new Dead or Alive game for PSP called Dead or Alive Paradise. However, this isn't a new game in Tecmo's franchise. In fact, it's barely a game at all. The Examiner notes that this is a port of a mobile game, one which lets you play mini games with the girls, as you continue to purchase skimpier and skimpier outfits for them. Classy.
Paradise is scheduled for a Spring 2010 release in Japan and, thankfully, it's a single-player only experience. We'd hate to think what kind of terrible multiplayer modes Tecmo would imagine for a game like this.

I mentioned this on a different post a few days ago, but I'll mention it again:
If the PSP/PSN is getting a port of any cellphone game, it should be God of War: Betrayal.

I struggle to understand how anyone could be attracted to fake cartoony/digital girls. It's pretty creepy if you ask me, and a problem that probably needs to be fixed with some therapy.

If they did that, Tomb Raider's sales would plunge into nothingness.
It is a tad creepy, but I guess it's better than some things.

Pixels are pixels. The chance of *insert adult film actress here* ever popping out of the screen and giving you a *insert unmentionable act here* are the same as *insert anime/game girl here* ever coming to life and *insert unmentioned act here*ing you.
The real creepy thing is when people get romantically attached to characters. As long as you aren't taking your DS to a chapel and marrying a video game character, you're probably fine.

Tmac get your head out of your arse, it's not creepy, trying to fix it with therapy is creepy and perverse, you are sick for mentioning that.
Bananaboat is wise, as long as theres no emotional attachment, or it's not delving into something weird then who cares. Naked women have been in art for thousands of years.
lastly, No I'm not going to buy it, nor am I attracted to it, tmac's statement was just wrong and outrageous thus prompting my reply. it's like saying you can cure homosexuality with therapy, that extent of therapy is abuse that never really cures anything. so it doesn't float your boat, who the fuck cares.

If you want to have a real conversation regarding whether or not it is normal behaviour, then you can't just call things screwed up without considering a few things first.
First, consider that you recognize that man made image as human, or any drawing for that matter. You recognize the patterns of a face, placement of the eyes, ears, mouth, etc.
The human body responds to visual stimulus, especially sexually. Things that males submliminially respond to are usually indicative of what would in nature indicate a healthy breeding partner, specifically wide hips, large breasts, etc. If you recognize those patterns in the images, then it is completely healthy to respond to that image as you would a picture of a real woman of the same proportions, even if that is physiologically impossible, or exaggerated. A quick point, I am not accounting for personal taste, which dictates how much exaggeration would be considered grotesque by a person.
There is nothing to fix with therapy unless a person (over)reacts in an unnatural or unhealthy way, such as becoming overly fixated on an inanimate character. Anyone that reacts so negatively to a reasonably realistic image of a sexually attractive woman, no matter how that image is produced (camera, 3D software, painting, etc) needs to either stop being in denial due to their own disgust in their actually finding the image arousing, OR needs thereapy.

The benchmark application already came out (designed to show you if your gaming rig can handle the game). The actual game comes out in February I think.
And for the record, no, I did not download the demo, and I will not be importing the game. Not that I have any particular hangups about adult games, I just don't play them.

Lets see... Tecmo announces Quantum Theory isn't PS3 exclusive, then we get PSP boobies. So by that logic, if Tacmo announces Undead Knights isn't PSP exclusive, we'll get PS3 boobies...

Who is buying this junk and why? I can see the sex appeal of the DOA cast back in the Dreamcast era when there was little competition.
Nowadays, there's been so many games that have rendered sexy character models that make DOA's look like a total joke. As a former DoA fan, Dead or Alive characters in today's sexiness scale ranks dead last imho.

DoA in general is a pretty dead series. Virtua Fighter and Soul Calibur both beat it in terms of control and design.

I don't know brad... DoA is pretty damn fun. It's easily the most accessible *good* 3D fighter. It may not be a technical masterpiece, but the quick matches, tight controls and fighting system, and pretty versatile characters make it my most played 3D fighter (DoA Ultimate 2 especially). It's definitely a love it or hate it series though, I know a lot of hardcore fighters write it off, but it's the perfect game to play when your competition can't quite grasp The Last Blade 2 or Virtua Fighter 5.

I don't even consider myself 'hardcore' when it comes to fighters, but DoA 3's controls seemed unintuitive. When friends come over we usually play either SC4 or Virtua Fighter(32X) over DoA.

Now that Itagaki is gone, all bets are off on there not being a DoA Hentai game. After all, he is the one that said "the DoA girls are like his children, he will never allow them to be seen nude". Even though it won't get released here, a DoA Hentai game would probably do quite well in japan
