Dead or Alive Paradise coming to PSP, sans fighting (and volleyball)

Do you love the Dead or Alive franchise? Do you wish Tecmo would just get rid of all that pesky fighting and volleyball gameplay and give fans what they really want out of the franchise: quality alone time with the DoA girls? Thankfully, Tecmo has answered that call. Seriously.

The latest issue of Famitsu reveals a new Dead or Alive game for PSP called Dead or Alive Paradise. However, this isn't a new game in Tecmo's franchise. In fact, it's barely a game at all. The Examiner notes that this is a port of a mobile game, one which lets you play mini games with the girls, as you continue to purchase skimpier and skimpier outfits for them. Classy.

Paradise is scheduled for a Spring 2010 release in Japan and, thankfully, it's a single-player only experience. We'd hate to think what kind of terrible multiplayer modes Tecmo would imagine for a game like this.

Ok, so this is not my thing. Not gonna rag on it, just not for me. But is anyone else wondering when the PS3 is going to get DOA 4 or maybe even a possibly-but-I-wouldn't-know in-development DOA5? I really miss the franchise, and 360 isn't my cup of tea (again, no diss, it just isn't). Does MS have exclusivity on it? I honestly don't know.. I played the SHIT out of DOA2HC on my PS2 back in the day.

I'd understand this game's existence if there had been an actual Dead or Alive game released somewhat recently. Otherwise, what's the point? There's tons of Hentai/Ecchi/Moe out there, and the Dead or Alive franchise hasn't had any recent releases to make these girls more memorable or noticeable than any other random digital babes

DOAX was pure cheesecake volleyball.. it was at least entertaining and any DOA fan that *didn't* like seeing the girls is either lying or gay. My wife actually loved watching the game and was responsible for a vast majority of the suit purchases.. DOAX2 was just tooooo ridiculously over the top to play. The volleyball got easier (how.. HOW?!?!) and the boob bounce was so ridiculous we spent more time laughing than anything else... it's sorta sad to see DOA going away from solid gamplay and into pure cheesecake. I shudder to think of what they would do to DOA5, oh well, for my fighting fix there's always Tekken6.

Where the heck is Ninja Gaiden PSP? How can they give DS one but PSP gets ignored. I would love to have a retro style + new style mix of Gaiden as a platformer
