Second Resident Evil 5 episode has playable Jill and Josh

Are you bored with the unspoken, yet powerful sexual tension between Resident Evil 5's protagonists, Chris and Sheva? Yeah, we are too -- that's why we're so excited about these scans from the latest issue of Famitsu (as uncovered by Siliconera), which reveal that the second chapter in the game's Alternative Edition DLC, titled Desperate Escape, will let you play as Jill Valentine and Josh Stone. In case you didn't recognize that last name, Josh Stone is actually a pretty popular British female soul singer. Seems like a weird choice, but what-evs.

Okay, Josh Stone is actually the BSAA member who helps out Chris and Sheva throughout the game -- mostly through the deus ex machina helicopter rescues for which the series is well-known. But wait -- if you're playing as Josh Stone, who's going to come rescue you at the end of the game in a helicopter? This could be bad, folks.

It's news to those of us who don't frequent the wiki page for a game released nine months ago.

Reading that headline, I realized the RE series has some wimpy hero names.

and John Rambo is?

C'mon, I am kidding.

How is Rambo not an exciting name? If you had never seen the movies or the infinite parodies, that name would imply a "charging force" of some kind.

The "John" part just adds to the "everyman" concept of First Blood and may be a reference to the concept of "Johnies" coming home from war.

Rambo was named after apples...

Anyway I said I was kidding.

I'm probably not going to play RE5, but I've got RE4 inbound in the mail.

Does that count?

RE4 for the Wii was terrific, I had a much better time with that than RE5, I hate to say.

You're missing out. Definitely not the best RE, but 5 was a solid game.

Maulok - why do you 'hate to say' that you had a better time with RE4? It's the superior game by far. I enjoyed RE5, no doubt, but RE4 is the best Resident Evil game ever. Play it, enjoy it, and play it again.

Oh, and I'm so getting this add-on stuff for RE5.

just for a bit of extra info, since its not mentioned.. the scenario is suppose to show jill's escape from the island after being saved from chris and sheva

Ok so now we have Jill. Now all we need is a chapter with HUNK and HUNK only to see how he been holding down these past few years.

Why don't this DLC come to the PC version? : (

I'm waiting for the collectors edition or whatever for the PS3, that has all the DLC and motion control support. As long as I know all this DLC and motion controller support is coming later, why pay for it now? The wii version was the best of RE4 in my opinion, and the PS3 version of RE5 with motion controls is going the same way.

Where's HUNK?

I might have gotten this if i hadnt traded my disk in 5 months ago.

i didn't buy the versus mode, and I won't be buying these 2 hour add ons. Capcom really screwed the punch on the download content for this game, thankfully they do a better job on lost planet, the only other title they make that I buy.

obviously will be Brad "ChickenHeart" Vickers da one that comes to rescue you...................
