We can get on board with The Sims 3's people creation, but we have to admit to being a touch unnerved by the game's Create A World feature, which went into open beta today. We like watching an e-puppet that kind of but not really looks like our nosy next-door neighbor poop himself to death as much as the next blog, but entire worlds of human creation suitable for sharing with other Sims 3 players? Well, it sounds like witchcraft, pure and simple.
If you don't mind indulging in the Dark Arts, EA's got a full walkthrough of the new mode here. It's the quickest way to condemn your immortal soul to eternal torment for dabbling in forces you could not understand.

I've yet to purchase Sims 3...but am I the only one who was terrible at giving my sim a good life in previous games?
D student, pimply, didn't get the job he wanted, burnt his house down twice, and soiled himself infront of the girl of his dreams...
And my sim had it pretty bad too.

The only way the AI can be called bad is if you just want to watch the sims do their thing. That way they're pretty dronish and might end up having a little mental meltdown that causes them to miss a day of work or something. All in all, they do what they're designed to -interact with your intervention.

I am horribly, horribly addicted to the game. I just wish it could already have the level of content The Sims 2 + expansions have but I have to wait all over again for expansions to come out that offer the same functionality. I never played The Sims 2, just a dabble of the 1st game.

Anyone have a link to it? Like a rapidshare link or something? The site seems to be down...
