That's because the people in the trailer are probably playing on easy. This game's difficulty is challenging on normal and up.

Nicholas Cage in 'The Warrior Man': Not the tigers! Not the tigers!! NOOO!!!Seriously though, glad to see I'm not the only one let down by this video. Hopefully the difficulty was low for the video. If it looks better down the road I might pick it up, just for the online co-op.

I think people like you already decide not to buy a game once you see the words "Dynasty Warriors".
People need to be more open-minded about games.

This is the action game I've been looking for my whole life. Finally, a game that lets you be a melee/range mystically powered combatant with cooperation between you and one to three friends. Name one other game that has epic co-op action. The closest I can think of is using Doppelganged Infinite DT on Devil May Cry 3.

Nice Joystiq. Let's just hate on a game without doing any investigative journalism at all. I love the site, but the constant hate on you guys have for Koei and the warrior franchise is fucking disturbing.
Did someone from Koei kick your dog when you were little? At least TRY the game, or at least look it up (Last article you called them samurai in China or something along those lines) on wikipedia for some sort of information instead of senselessly bashing it.
Love joystiq so much, but the lack of even neutrality in some articles can be a big turn off.

Alright, take it from someone who played this on PSP and is a (former) fan of Dynasty Warriors. It fucking sucks...horribly. I used to love the series when it was relatively fresh, even got me to buy the books...but it's literally the same damn game every time. It's old and tired now.

tmac, if you played this on PSP, really, you would know you were and idiot and a liar about your claim. No Dynasty Warriors game is as aerial focused as this version nor does any have the village hub, leveling system to this extent, crafting, I could go on but really you'd claim all of that was in Dynasty Warriors 6. Which it wasn't...

If you've played on, you've played them all. I always thought it was a decent concept that they never quite got right. And I would always try the next game thinking that they'll have improved something. Nope. Always the same game. I gave up about 10 versions ago.

Those monsters seem strangely unconcerned that you just stabbed them seventy-nine times in the face with what appears to be a pointy lightning-stick that is on fire.
