Solstice shifting Demon's Souls to 'pure white tendency' for short time

Atlus' Demon's Souls will take pity on the masses this holiday as the game shifts to the "pure white tendency" this holiday. What this means is that "new areas and special NPCs" will exist in Boletaria during that time -- as a bonus, enemies cause less damage and players inflict more. Pure white is not easy to achieve, so this is a great opportunity for players. Atlus does note that adventurers may need to "log in and out a few times before [the] tendency shifts to match the server."

Demon's Souls had a similar event during Halloween, but that was "pure black." There is no shame in using the game's official wiki and, for soul's sake, we recommend using it.

Update: We followed up with Atlus and received a more specific time for the event: "Noon PST to noon PST, 12/21-28." Happy hunting!

Hehe that does happen in this game... but i love it nontheless. Glad it's going to full white, i was hoping they would do that after Halloween's full black. Lots of things to check out. Been on game+ for a while.

Even though I have platinum this game and have moved on.... PWWT will be good for newcomes who pop in the game Christmas morning. But hows about From Software giving us some sweet DLC and open up that 6th world. I would love to pwn me some giants :)

What day and time does it start exactly though?

Maintaining World Tendency to get all these items sounds like a !@#$%^ b1tch, esp. when it tends to shift to neutral everytime you go back to the Nexus (I mean, how else are you going to unload the souls and avoid the penalty of losing them all if you accidentally get killed)? That's why I didn't bother with it.

I guess if you're at a relatively high soul level, losing large numbers of souls takes less and less importance?

That glitch only happens when you exit the game from the Nexus. Too avoid the shifting to neutral you have to exit the game from a level itself.

Oh, ok, thanks for the heads up. I also haven't bothered with the tendency events b/c I want to play alot of other stuff as well (AC).

Woot I can finally get that Berserk sword from the dragon's lair.

Too bad I'm on New Game+ now and will have to deal with freakin Flamelurker again first.

I bought this game yesterday as a birthday present to myself.

This game is hard as balls.

yes I borrowed it and three hours later I put it away forever. They couldn't even make new area's you open up a mini-save/checkpoint? It wasn't so much hard as annoying. :(

Drunkraba: It actually gets easier the more you play it. You get better weapons and abilities, and can unlock useful spells. There's an evacuate spell which will take you back to the Nexus no matter where you are. There are also items which do the same.

It's hard at first, but extremely rewarding every time you down the epic bosses. Just make sure when you die you put on the Thieves Ring and Cling Ring (gives you a lot more health in soul form) you get in 1-1. Also, take it slow and read all the hints people leave on the ground. When you need help, playing with others (blue eye stone) sometimes helps a lot.
