In celebration of the release, Double Fine has handed over a brand new trailer for the grab bag of multiplayer maps, skins for Eddie Riggs, and items with which to brutalize (as seen above). As we previously noted, the DLC also gives players the opportunity to endow Mt. Rockmore with Tim Schafer's beautiful face. If that doesn't sell you on it, we can't imagine what would.

Jack Black's Metal antics got old the moment they started, this game is just lame. Go ahead and download your paint jobs and beards.

Brutal Legend is a great game. Is it a GOTY or 9.5/10 title? No. It's an 8.0-ish title, imo, which is great.
The single player was very enjoyable -- both the more hack n' slash encounters and the simple RYS-style battles. I can understand where many were disappointed due to the RTS-style elements in the single player, but let's be fair, Double Fine talked about these in an extremely old Game Informer Cover Story.
I found every character and line of dialogue to be well done. Of course, though, it helps that I'm a fan of metal, but even if I weren't, I could see enjoying these great characters and wonderfully created environments.
The gameplay was solid, the visual design was superb, the characters and VO were great, the soundtrack was errr... heavy, etc. It had some faults, but nothing big enough to turn this game into a "turd" or whatever names haters are spewing. I wish more people could judge things more fairly.
I love Brutal Legend, but it's not my GOTY, it's not the best game ever made, it's not a AAA titles (imo), but it's not the rubbish some try to make it out to be.
A great ol' 8.0 or so title.
I'll say this, though, it ended way too soon and I'd prefer some more single player story content over meaningless add-ons and multiplayer stuff. Get it done, Tim and Double Fine.
