I don't think I could play that game for more than a few minutes. Despite having awesome art and animation, there are only a handful of sound effects and that would get annoying quick.

Man, Indie games are becoming less and less indie every day, and more of a secondary XBLA.

Sweet I've been trying out a lot of Indie Games recently. Most have something in them i don't like so don't purchase but did picked up Miner Dig Deep and Beat Hazard this past week. I probably put 20 hours in Beat Hazard during the past week alone.
I can't wait to try this out just hope I remember to.

Bought it last night, it's ok but pretty fun. It's only a single-level (no height I mean) sidescroller, but it seems like the guy could add that in as there is a pretty big jump move. Run left and right, fight zombies of increasing strength, and upgrade your weapons at the end of every day. It's not incredibly deep, but it's also $0.99. Their website claims it's on sale, so perhaps the dev is using the early money from the early release to continue funding further development. The first update added more zombie types and more achievements. So overall, pretty fun if you want some mindless hack and slash with pretty graphics.

I bought it on the iPhone too. It's ok. To it's credit, it's the only iPhone game I've played where the touch d-pad is actually responsive. They could probably make money just selling that code alone!

The game itself it alright. I love games like this but even I found it repetative. It needs a combo system or something. Having more advanced level design would be nice too. So far all I've been doing is running straight. Jumping is pointless.

It's worth the 99 cents, though. Maybe even $3 bucks.
But like a lot of indie games on XBLA, the game does some things really really well (graphics) but doesn't measure up in a significant way to...er...non-indie games (boring gameplay).

In other words, tons and tons of unmet potential.

Wow, the animations are so smooth.

Doesn't seem like a bad deal for $3.
