In the roughly 24 hours since Square Enix dropped Final Fantasy XIII into retailers across Japan, over 1 million consumers have snagged the game for their PlayStation 3s. The Japanese publisher says that the number doesn't include the Lightning Edition PS3 hardware bundles, which would presumably add another handful of copies to the grand total. With another few months to go until North American gamers can hungrily grab up the sequel, we'll have to focus our time on jewelry contests instead.

@acefondu that was a total, counting lost hours to deaths and such, and 100% in less than 100 hours. the PS1 games maybe.

@Zexion,
I found the main campaign for oblivion to be rather short. You can definitely make it take longer doing everything else, but that can be said for most FF games as well. Main storyline for FF games, from my experience, were much longer than Oblivion's.

Mmmmm Can't wait till this game releases in the US to see how many it sells on the first day. I'm one of the millions in the US that's preordered it and i know for a fact this game will sell atleast 1.5M in the US on the first day. Where i live just asking the local gamestop how many pre-orderes they have, back last year he said their is over 500,000 here in the state of NY that have preordered it. NY has a population of 19M people so i know damn well this game will be a smash hit in the states.
