Yeah I think Dafrety is on the right tracks.

Your PSP would explode by just the menu screen.

Don't forget blu-ray. It'll need that too.

more realistically though I would like it if remote play worked with more games. I just got PixelJunk Shooter which is remote play-able and it rocks.

p.s. I know this is a double post I'm a terrible person

I'd be happy with a portable with Wii graphics (That is to say the better graphics the wii can push out). It's doable within the next two years.

It's called the PSP, and you can buy one now.

Seriously, look at Chains Of Olympus or LBP versus any Wii game. I may be exaggerating, but not by much.

I have 3.15. Maybe it's just in Europe (I'm assuming that's where the video's from), but I'm currently on the NA PlayStation Store, and there is no minis section on the front page, nor is it in the PS3 Games section. Though he says it used to be only in the PSP Games section, at least for me, it's still that way. Are any other Americans actually seeing a new minis section anywhere?

I was going to state the same, but at the end of the video he says that the US store will be updated next tuesday so we can finally play our Minis on the PS3 then as well.

It might seem boring to some, but i'm actually looking forward to this feature although i'm sure the video quality will be pretty disappointing.

If I were me, I'd listen to the end if it could finish loading. It's still just halfway through. Okay, okay, I got it, I assume he says it at the end. I listened to what I could and went to the PS Store and scratched my head.

Well, I think the confusing thing here is that *if* he's browsing the European PSN store, why is it displaying everything in dollar amounts? The other case is that if he's using the North American PSN store on his European PS3, the menu setup of the store doesn't match up with the [current] North American either.

@Chow: Well he's using the european store, and check out his accent? and what country is that accent from? and what curency does that country use? OK, you can see why it's dollars now....

@stargateheaven: At first I thought it was an English accent, but after your reply, I decided to see if it was an Australian or English accent (yes, I know there's a difference, but I can never tell right away). Checking it over, I see that it's Australian (I didn't know they use Dollars too). You also could've gave the answer in your reply instead of leaving it open like that. I still might not have known after your reply ;).

Can someone tell me is Tetris works for the PS3? I keep hearing that Tetris is the only game that is not compatible with the PS3.

For those who want full PSP games on the PS3, the reason why that will never happen (economically) is that it would kill PSP sales (however, it would be a great idea to allow the PSP to be tethered to the PS3 and use the PS3 for video and controls). The probable technical reason is that Minis are not emulated. They are simple games that both consoles have code for. It is similar to a web page which is universal.

Actually, I think the exact opposite.

Think of a PS3 owner buying a few PSP games that upscale on the PS3. They do not own a PSP, but there are a bunch of games they want to try, but never felt like shelling out the money for the portable. Now they buy these titles digitally, find them fun playing them on the PS3, get hooked, maybe buy another.

Now if they ever DO decide to buy a PSP, they will ALREADY have a library of things to play with 'on the GO'. Get it? If I had say 3-4 games I bought digitally for the PSP and play them on the PS3, I would be MORE likely to want to buy a PSP with which to play them on when I am out and about.

Not to mention that the metric tends to be lose money on hardware, make it up with software. Selling more games would just make them more money overall. More hardware sales would just be icing on the cake.

i think its the opposite for the PSP sure it would kill sales for the PSP but it would get PS3 owners who buy PSP games from PSN the ability to try them out without forking over $169.99 for a PSP-3000 or $249.99 for a PSP GO. I myself would love to play PSP games on my PS3 if they were upscaled on the PS3.

I have to agree with both of you that I wouldn't buy a console for a specific game or two and trying out games would make me want to get a portable unit to play the same games. However, I don't think the specific dual platform Minis are being emulated (the PS3 is actually running a virtual PSP and converting the code cross-processor architecture) rather than supported Minis being simple enough for both consoles to run it like a web browser to a web page.

I want to play Peace Walker upscaled on HDTV with my Dualshock 3. I don't care if it's via emulation or my actual PSP as long as it has a Dualshock control scheme like Resistance Retribution. Can't stand most games on PSP due to the crappy controls.
