Still addicted to the monster that is Modern Warfare 2... Maybe if I can break away I might get around to some Peggle or play some more of the GT5 demo. Also I really need to get back to Uncharted, haven't played that since MW2 came out.

I'm away from my console for the winter break. This weekend will be Patapon 2 and Maybe some Altitude on the PSP.

Finally got around to playing Prince of Persia. And still playing some Tekken 6.

Joystiq should have a Tekken tournament, I want to beat up some people on this site.

Also, I've been playing some demo's the last few days:

God of War 3 - Wow amazing!
Dante's Inferno - The kind of clone I like.
Gran Turismo 5 - I've gotta be honest and say I'm a bit underwhelmed by this demo. Especially by the graphics. Hope the final version ends up a lot better!

I'm slightly addicted to the My Player mode in NBA 2k10, it's alot of fun and gets you to play the game differently then when you control a full team.

As far as a downloadable game that shouldn't be missed, Monkey Island is certainly up there. Magic is a game that i find myself going back to often as well. Those two are good picks, for sure.

My top ten of '09 is flooded with downloadable games. Shadow Complex, flower, PixelJunk Shooter, Trine, Trials HD, and Machinariumt all made it into my top ten of '09. Definitely don't miss 'Splosion Man, Torchlight, Fat Princess, The Maw, Critter Crunch, and Defense Grid too. WipEout HD Fury has enough content to be considered a full game, and it's all good stuff too. That's all I've got from the top of my head anyways.

Oddly enough, I'm playing Critter Crunch. It's only like $7 and has a smorgasbord of content, I'm a little disheartened to find only 30,000 or so players registered on the leaderboards.

It really is Markez. And I think that's part of the problem with the game not selling: Half of the people I've played against online are still playing the Demo version...

Gotta hand it to Capy too, it's literally the only puzzle game I've ever played online that didn't suffer horrendous lag.

Final Fantasy VIII will be playing out it's angst-filled and improbably amnesiac story on my PS3 while Megaman 9 taunts me from the WiWare side of things and Symphony of the Night haunts me on Live. I will also attempt to break MW2's stranglehold monopoly on my Dragon Age time but I make no promises.

Shadow complex is pretty much the only downloadable game that I can think of worth mentioning this year, for any system.

I'm spending this week replaying Mass Effect 1, in preparation for the game of the forever, Mass Effect 2. This time next Friday I will finally have a Wii after months of talking about getting one, and I will have over a dozen "new" games to play to hold me over until Mass Effect 2.

I'd be interested in Splosion man if i had those platforms. Heard it's an excellent side-scrolling platformer. Trine sounds vaguely good, and if you liked Lumines or its ilk, Bit Trip Beat and Bit Trip Core were supposed to be excellent additions to the rhythm-puzzle quasi-genre

Oh yeah I forgot about Splosion Man, that was a pretty cool game. Trine is really boring though, I've had it for weeks now and can't force myself to play past the 3rd stage.

The bit trip games are not my thing, but Fernando insists that I play them so I guess he's sending them to me over the Wii gift thing or whatever.

I'm currently playing LOST season 3. I just bought the season 5 box set and I'm working my way toward it. I hope that LOST will go out with a bang next year as it is my favorite show to come out in a long, long time. It's good to know that it will end properly unlike a lot of other shows that get canned long before they have a chance to wrap things up in an orderly fashion.

As far as games are concerned, I'm still getting my ass kicked in Demon's Souls. I took a break for a while because I kept getting destroyed in the Tower of Latria, but I'm back. On top of that, come Monday, the game will be shifted toward a pure white tendency, so I'll finally be able to get Executioner Miralda's armor set.

I'm also playing Sacred 2. It's not the best game in the world, but I'll vouch for it being super fun. The dialogue is sooooo bad in that game that it's unintentionally funny.

If I have enough time, I might just boot up Mass Effect. With the second game just around the corner I want to brush up on the story line so I can be ready.

Playing "Gears of War 2", "Bowsers Inside Story , New Super Mario Bros Wii, "Muramasa Demon Blade" and "The Legendary Starfy". Trying to beat them all by Christmas because I'm about to have another pile of games dumped on me. Lately I've been really bad about starting new games before finishing what I'm currently playing. I still have to go back and finish "GTA Chinatown Wars" and "Retro Game Challenge" (to name a few).

Probably going to continue playing Team Fortress 2 almost exclusively. I made the mistake of clearing out my full backpack a couple of weeks ago, so I've got a lot of random items to find so I can start crafting.

The weirdness with the drops last night did net me most of the new items and 3 camera beards, so it's not all bad.

Super Sonic Rocket Powered Battle Cars is my every night wind down game, Peggle is costing me many hours of sleep, C.O.D. Classic is just that, classic! Super Stardust HD is one of the best top downs ever...There are tons of games on the PSN that are worthy of 10 bucks, and have given me more play time than any of my disc-based games... Madden NFL Arcade is pretty fun too.

Split on Spirit Tracks and Tales of Symphonia. The 4th section of the Tower of Spirits (section to unlock Fire map) really had me scratching my head at a few points, though that was more due to my stupidity, like not putting together that if Phantom Zelda couldn't walk across Sand, the evil Phantoms couldn't either, and the last puzzle about walking from the Green tile to the Red tile was just mean.

Tales is really sucking me in. The only parts i really don't like are the puzzles. The puzzles are often quite pointless and frustrating. But there's quite a depth of strategy, even given the fact that i let the 3 cpus run around on full auto, and the story is good in a cheesy anime sort of way.

Its a good thing i'm on a handheld game, though. I'm spending 7 hours on a train tomorrow (and fortunately these amtrak cars are equipped with AC outlets, so i could play all i wanted. Explore some pointless secrets).

Team Fortress 2. Unlocked the eyelander, and it is awesome when paired with the shield. The soldier's direct hit, and equalizer are awesome as well. Waiting for them to fix the achievement glitch so I can get the other weapons.

Might put some time into L4D2. To think people say that PC gaming is dead.

Ok OK ... I just got home from watching Avatar in 3-D in a digital theatre with digital surround sound. Let me just say this movie completely exceeded my expectations and is instantly one of my favorite movies ever. It's THAT good. Amazing and there is something there for everyone. I'm a huge fan of sci-fi stuff and one of the biggest Star Wars nerds around and this one movie is superior to every star wars movie combined. I didn't have expectations either way and after the movie was over something happened that I've never seen ... a standing ovation by the audience! Everyone who like sci-fi or just good movies in general should go and see it because it's really one of those once in a lifetime movies.

As for what I'm playing ... maybe some Assassins Creed bloodlines on the PSP and going back to Assassins Creed 1 & 2. I'll probably dabble in some Borderlands but so far I don't think it's that great. Granted I've only put a handful of hours but I'm kind of luke warm on it so far. Thats it!

In between that will be MW2. And maybe some L4D 2.
As for downloadable games, I got hooked onto Castle Crashers this year, but that's about all I've played.

I just finished off Dead Space, finally, after stating here many times I would do it 'this weekend'. I kind of think that game 'almost' something of a masterpiece, if it weren't for some repetitive elements.

That leaves my my next game in the lineup, Uncharted! You didn't care about playing the first one before the second? Dunno if it's your type of game, but I realllllly recommend LBP. It's great fun.

i was worried about it because i have a busy holiday schedule, i didnt know if id have time to beat UC1 before i'd have to endure an agonizing time waiting for an opportunity to play UC2, so i asked my friend who convinced me to buy a PS3 what he thought and he said it was basically made for people who didnt play the first one. I did play it a little bit, so i knew all the characters and everything

Yea you really don't need to play UC1 for 2. It's good, and you get more out of the second one if you've played the first, but it's not really necessary.

ESC, first of all, I have to bring up again that you admitted YOU DIDNT VOTE FOR MY GODDAMNED PUMPKIN YOU ASS. I was a Silent Hill nut through The Room, but haven't touched Homecoming as of yet. For me, personally, Silent Hill 2 is the pinnacle of survival horror. Some sloppy gameplay mechanics sure, but it's as good as it gets. I have always wanted to try Fatal Frame but haven't, so I was remarkably bummed when I heard it wouldn't be coming to NA.

But I think Dead Space definitely took a big shot at scientology, albeit briefly. I think it's borderline undeniable, and I think it's awesome. Nip/Tuck went out of their way to insult scientology and that was hilarious as well.

As far as Infamous, as WRE how he feels about it and he'll likely start drooling all over the place.
