Phix, listen to me. Follow my directions.
1. Go to a Gamestop, Amazon, or somewhere to snag a used copy of Just Cause. It should be about $14.
2. Take it home, insert the disc into your system.
3. Press start, and marvel upon this purely awesome game.

Phix, it's worth picking up, as I believe it's $8 in the used bin. I will temper Shadowbender's enthusiasm, though, with my disappointment with a number of game features. A number of side missions can not be completed. Any mission involving an oil rig involves a bug where you fall through the rig and you get kicked off the ladder leading to the platform you're supposed to blow up. A similar side mission in larger cities involves you trying to demolish a building which has no collision detection.
These bugs make the game incredibly frustrating, though it is still possible to get 100% game completion (you simply walk/drive/fly away from the guy who offers you the uncompletable mission and return to receive a different side quest). I felt cheated out of my $50 when the game was first released on 360 in the summer of 2006, but was still able to salvage a decent experience from the game as a whole.

haha, I'll probably get around to it before Just Cause 2 comes out.
I'll just wait for it to hit around $9 or less on Steam.

Reviews aside, the first game is a classic for me. Great memories with Just Cause. This one looks to be as stellar as the first one. That's some fantastic stuff we got here, everyone.

The weird dish thing that the bad guy is using... Doesn't it remind you of the dish from GoldenEye? I was so thinking of knocking Trevelyan into it, lol.

First one was a pretty fun mindless game and it's a good buy for $20. This game's going to get crushed though with God of War coming out right after.

Game looks awesome but one thing it didn't need is a Kim Jong-Il-esque villain/plot.

Who says that isn't exactly the reason why they picked it in the first place?

I thought Baby Panay was inspired by the island of the same name here in the Philippines, Panau being the dictator's name applied to the islands.
I still hope we can have Jeepney Rampages.

Dave Halverson is going to be pissed. He spent the entire review of the first game bitching about how it didn't have the option to play as a sexy latina agent counterpart to Rico.
Oh well, can't wait for this game. Hopefully you don't have to wait too long to get the grappling hook, that's all I wanted to do in the first game and it turned out you actually had to play it a bit first.

Now I have a 360 I should probably pick up the original for cheap. I heard it is much better than the ps2/xbox versions which I never played anyway. This one seems sweet.

The crazy actionreminds me of Saints Row 2(which I love) I just hope I can get into this one because I thought the first one was absolutely horrendous.
