I'd also like an explanation.

i actually thought this game felt a lot like Ocarina of time, or Zelda-esque. You have exploration, combat, boomerang, hookshot, hidden items, Epic boss fights, puzzles, autojump, upgrading items... etc. The size of the world felt pretty close to Ocarina of time, maybe a bit bigger. I was really impressed with how the combat flowed, never had so much fun beating up bad guys. Anyway great game, I just beat it today and I can't get enough. I am really looking forward to this sequel.

Is it possible that the asylum is the last safe place currently? With all the havoc outside, the outside has become the home of the 'crazies' and the people have had to retreat to Arkham?

That sounds very plausible... why have guards at the asylum if all the criminals are running around the streets... you could be on to something...

i was hoping to see more dlc support for B:AA before a sequel was announced. arkham was the perfect setting to bring batman back for some good episodic storylines, self contained and easy to pick up and play before or after you beat the game.

real missed opportunity there.. still, heres hoping B:AA2 is as good as the first game..

Who knows, they might still release some DLC. Maybe closer to the second games launch, in order to help get people excited for the sequel.

At this rate, I'll just wait until the complete trilogy box set comes out in the spring of 2011.

NO MANS LAND! would be a perfect setting for another great Batman game.

Wait, why does the popblock version of the trailer say at the very end that, among other villains, clayface is a likely candidate for the sequel? I'm not seeing where they got that. By the way, if I hadn't watched this slowed-down version I NEVER would have seen Isis the cat.

They listed all the villians that weren't in the original or the teaser, saying that it's possible for them to be included in the game as well, even if it hasn't been hinted at yet.

I'm sorry, but I love Joystiq and this news is around 3 days old! this was posted the day after the BS VGA Awards and was nothing more than hype for the game. The first game rocked but the sequel is up for grabs. pick a different super villain or something, including other villains for the same game isn't gonna work sales-wise. JOKER SHOULD BE OUT!!!
