Did you miss the first release of Holy Invasion of Privay, Badman!? Don't worry if you did, because it appears NIS America is readying a spectacular bonus for the upcoming sequel. According to an Amazon.com listing, the "complete original game [is] included for free." Yep, it's two games for the price of one, and who doesn't like a promo like that?
It's unclear if this bonus will apply only to the UMD version of the game, or if the PSN version will also benefit. Considering how often PSP Go owners have been screwed, we wouldn't be surprised if the digital release arrived late with no discount and no prequel bonus.

Thought this was about Batman AA and Batman AA 2. Damn you Joystiq headline writers.

And this one happens to be one of the most straight forward headlines too...
Maybe you should go back to some Dr. Zeus books and work your way up?

That's cool, but I bought the first game on day one. Where's my bonus?

Exactly. I guess I'll just have to wait until Badman 3 for my bonus.

Glad I held off on buying the game, then. The demo had been addicting enough on it's own, I figured it would carry me over to an inevitable sequel.
Now if only they'll release a demo for the 2nd to possible hold me over until the 3rd installment that possibly includes the 1st and 2nd games? One can dream.

Bear in mind, it's not even clear that there is a UMD version of this game. For all we know Amazon.com is just selling codes, like Patapon 2. And it seems likely to me that they probably are just including a download code for the first game, it not being on the supposed disc.

Considering NIS was getting so many complaints from people who refused to buy the digital version enough to attempt to get enough preorders to attempt a physical release of the first game it's possible they chose to go with a UMD version as well this time and include the first game for people who cant or wont get the digital version. They suggested as much when it was revealed that they were short of the required preorder amount to justify the effort.
These were their own words on the topic
"We truly understand your disappointment in not having this item. In the future, we are considering to have the Badman 2 release on UMD. We truly would appreciate your patience and your understanding. Again, we truly apologize for the many inconveniences to all of our valuable fans. Thank you for your continuous support."

Hmm probably wouldn't have picked up the original on UMD even tho it is interesting but both of them on UMD ....... NIS America, you know how to get me to break out my wallet.
Now on a semi related topic I just need to hear they are doing the same thing with patapon 2 being released on UMD with patapon 1 bundled so I will have a reason to go out and buy patapon 2 (I really want to play it but I hate digital distro at least on a system you have such limited control on)

To clear everything up, the UMD version will have the first one on the disc but the PSN download will not. However, the UMD version will cost $30 and the PSN version will cost $20. The PSN version of part 1 is only $10. So either way, you pay the same amount.
To play the first game on the sequel's UMD, at the title screen, you press L,R,L,R,L,R,L,R,L,R
Then the title screen for the first game will pop up.
They stated this on the badman 2 website.
