For a second there, I thought Jack of All Games was a bad metaphor for the Grand Theft Auto franchise, for some reason.

Or when you add in an unnecessarily clinging social system that bugs you every other minute in-game... =P

@ MacApple
GTFO.
Microsoft paid them for exclusive rights. Obviously, Take2 is NOT going to take that deal unless they got good money from it. And selling a branch does not mean they need money, it probably means that they're going to use the money to make a bigger and better one.
You're such a fucking idiot.

Spending money IS how you compete. How do you think Apple makes money- then spend money for R&D and then manufacture products. By your logic, the best way to make money is to have it handed down from God.

First off, chill. The internetz are not serious business, contrary to popular belief. Secondly, I'm pretty sure the reason they took that money is because there was really no precedence as to how well they'd do with that DLC. They took that money to help cover costs as well as ensure they could recover some of their investment. Could they have made more if they had released the DLC for both platforms? Maybe - probably - who knows? I can agree that you have to spend money to make money, and it was a smart move on Microsoft's part to pay for the exclusivity, but in the long run, you'll likely reach a larger audience if you offer the content on multiple platforms. There probably wouldn't be much to adapt for each, as the changes tend to be mostly story/model/map/mission/game script based.

Jack of All Games distributes a hell of a lot more than just Take-Two games. This is a huge deal.

Actually, Take-Two announced last year that Ditan Distribution is distributing their games.
