If you're reading gaming blogs on a regular basis, Tetsuya Nomura needs no introduction. While Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep is by no means finished, Nomura is already talking about what's next. In the latest issue of Famitsu (via Siliconera; scan can be seen here), he confirms two additional projects: one that is already fairly far along in development and another unannounced project that's "not entirely new."
Aside from Birth By Sleep, Nomura's other known projects include Final Fantasy Agito XIII and 3rd Birthday, a new game in the Parasite Eve series. Keep an eye on Famitsu's site, where the full interview will soon be available.

Kids are the target audience for Kingdom Hearts (hard to believe, but it' not emo tweens). Kids don't own PS3s, for the most part.
Disney needs KH3 to reach a wide audience. If it's on PS3, it will be multi-plat to the 360 as well. Otherwise, it may just wind up on the Wii (with CWAAAAAAAZY motion controls!). Here's hoping it supports the Classic Controller if it goes to Wii.

I was thinking the same thing.
I can't see why Squenix wouldn't remake that game for the ps3. There's so many dollar signs written on it that its not even funny.

I have given up. There is no reason to believe that it's actually happening. The tech demo was fantastic, but Square Enix has been making Final Fantasy based tech demos for Sony since the original Playstation.
There is absolutely no reason to believe that it would happen.

@ Sora - Here I was about to rag on you for thinking you needed a dark game considering how young you were/are... But holy crap, it has been six years since Kingdom Hearts! I apologize for any ill feelings I felt towards, I truly do... Now I just feel old, and I was only 16 when it came out, but then again the Disney mix never really appealed to me even then so I never really bothered it. I've always been meaning to pick up the three PS2 games though, get them all new for less than $40 nowadays, I just don't have time to play them. I hate time.

I say Kingdom Hearts 3 would be the new one since technically it is a new game he doesn't say new IP he says new game and one that's not entirely new so my guess would be (and I know people are gonna boo this comment but....) Final Fantasy 7 Remake that wouldn't be an entirely new as it was already a game!

The "not entirely new" game just has to be Kingdom Hearts 3. While a remake or sequel of FFVII seems to fit the bill as well, its a lot more unlikely, seeing that Squeenix has repeatedly said that nothing of the kind is in the works (just like the long-awaited next game in the Chrono series).
On the other hand, KH3 is inevitable. Nomura is likely to do at least one last numbered Kingdom Hearts game not only because the fans demand it but because he has also alluded to it in interviews. And there is no other series that he's well known for (that I can think of) that are big enough to warrant another game. Maybe a TWEWY 2, but I think it'll be a while 'til we see another game in that series.

KINGDOM *THROWS UP* HEARS *EATS IT* 3!!! *THROWS UP AGAIN*
And it BETTER be on PS3 ... or 360. It would look outstanding in HD and full graphical support (it would look like a Disney movie!). And I want it exclusive to Bluray so they voice ALL parts (no text!); due to the PS2's limited DVD they werent able to do voices for all dialogue in KH2.

KH3 AND PE3? Nice.
I never played PE2 but the first one was great. The only horror game I managed to get into. Here's hoping the 3rd is more like the original than the sequel.
I fully expect both these games to be Sony exclusives, which means I'm SOL until I get a PS3. Hopefully FFXIII will do well on 360 and they will at least consider PE3 for 360. PE hasn't had a game in a couple console generations so I would think being an exclusive would hurt it much much more than something like Kingdom Hearts, which is almost a gauranteed seller, even as an exclusive.

While I agree on the basis that there should be a limit on how many belts, buckles and zippers one person can fit on their body, Amano's character design never really appealed to me. Whats with all his main characters having permanent eyeliner? They always just looked a bit too... Elegant is the closest word I can think of, for my tastes. That or feminine, which is okay when it's Terra.

I'm pretty sure Nomura is working on Final Fantasy Versus XIII, not Agito which is the Cell Phone card-based game turned PSP game. Versus XIII is the Action RPG which kind of looks like Kingdom Hearts.
