You may not have to wait too long after Christmas for Darwinia+ on Xbox Live Arcade, because Introversion Software says the game has passed Microsoft's certification process. It's been a long time coming and you can bet we're glad to finally see those little stick men at the end of the tunnel.
If you're wondering what all of the hubbub is about, then we suggest you check out this free demo of the PC version over at Big Download.

These guys make such great games. I'm really happy to see them get an XBLA release.
I was playing their games back when they just released that hacking simulator. Which, by the way, is incredibly awesome.

We'll never see another Uplink. They've stated several times it'll never happen. They're sick and tired of Uplink, and they're now tired of Darwinia due to MS.

Cert testing is different from general gameplay testing. A horrible game that's no fun to play can pass cert very quickly if they follow the requirements that MS/Sony/Nintendo have.

Certification is basically just things like, does the game crash if the player tries to play with a guitar controller? Do custom soundtracks work? Does it work correctly on a 19" CRT TV from the 80s?
