We know, we know -- you've spent the better part of today searching the internet for all those Namco classics no longer playable on the futurebox of choice in your living room. Thankfully, Namco Bandai just this morning announced intentions to "increase its digital distribution presence," effectively eliminating your wasted time problem.
Aside from the news that two Katamari-based titles are headed to Xbox 360 and PlayStation Portable (Beautiful Katamari in "Q1 2010" and Me & My Katamari on December 22, respectively), today's communication did little for news on what else we can expect from the Japanese publisher on the digital front. That being said, the company specifically pointed out future titles heading to not just Xbox 360, but also a bolstering of titles in the PSone and PSP catalogs on the PlayStation Network. It appears as though we won't be hearing about other titles just yet, though, as the company said, "More titles to be announced in the coming months." But hey, at least you can stop all that internet scouring now, right?

In all seriousness, the PSP Go isn't going to benefit from this (or any large addition of content) all that much. My guess is people want options. Some like digital distribution, some like physical media. People have always had that choice and if you take one of them away from them, well this is what happens.
Again, that's just my guess, I tend to talk out of my ass quite a bit, but I'm sure I don't need to tell you.

It's a fucking word people, not an automatic need for sarcasm. Really getting sick of people here having nothing to contribute other than criticism of a post. ~_~

If Beautiful Katamari is priced at $20 I'll pick it up. Amazon has it new for $120 (yea right) and nowhere else seems to have it. Having never owned a katamari game it seems like the best bet for me. It's the only one with online and I like the visual style more than Katamari Forever.

As long as this means I get Lumines I and Ridge Racer on PSN, I'll hold onto my Go for awhile longer.. The lack of those two makes my buyers remorse that much more painful.

Why would you buy a system before the games you want are released?

You could ask the same of anyone else who buys a system @ launch. Mind you there's numerous other games available to download that'd I'd get. These were just my fave 2 games from the psp's library.

Y'know what I want to see? The PSOne Namco Museum packages. All five of them. There are games on those that have never made it into any of the latter packages including the plug-and-play "TV Game" units or onto Gametap, and the latter versions didn't have any of the nifty extras from those releases. I'd drop $6 on each of those without hesitation.
