I would accept this offer but that would require me to play Gears of Lag. I just love it when two players are doing circles and shooting point blank with a shotgun yet every shot misses. Not to mention it still takes forever to find a match. Hopefully Gears 3 has a public Beta.

I agree that lag still is an issue in Gears of War, especially in shotgun duels, but it's been worse.
As for the matchmaking, in my experience it's pretty quick these days.
I'll probably pop the game back in this holiday weekend, pretty hard to tear myself away from Modern Warfare 2 though.

Got rid of this game quite a while back because of the unreal amount of problems. Hopefully, they actually test Gears of War 3 multiplayer since I like the general gameplay of Gears.

I haven't played this for about two weeks now... I've been putting a load of time into Far Cry 2, not realising how good it was the first time round.
Gears 2 has had double XP since MW2 came out based on 'positive feedback of the event'. But really they mean 'we need people to play Gears not MW."

Hey David, it's '12 Days of Gearsmas' - you highlighted the special title and got it wrong, twice. Might wanna update that.
Anyways, Gears 2 sucks. Haven't played 1 single match since I hit level 100 and I wish I never hit level 100. LAGGGGtGGGGGGYYYYY WARS 2 is more like it.

I think that comments like "jimbo's" are hilarious......."I hate Gears of Lag 2, I stopped playing when I reached level 100....." You make it sound like you hated every single second of it, yet you obviously dedicated a huge amount of time playing it. I cannot imagine how often you would play a game that you actually liked! ha ha ha ha
Anyways, it boogles my mind how a game that has so many bugs has so many drones mindlessly playing along and "hating" it.

Does anyone actually want to play with any of those changes?
Personally I love Gears, hate the chainsaw, the b button spamming, over powered boomshot, and planted grenades. I'm glad the first 4 days of this event make it a nightmare to even play Gears, on top of what is a pretty rough and inconsistence matchmaking experience.

i hope they keep creating these server side mods and eventually introduce boomshot arena... Anyone recall the old school rocket arena days in Quake? That whole introduction of rocket arena took the game to a whole other level...
With all the negative lag talk I must say it does suck however most of the time games are fair and play as intended....
The faster your network connection usually gives you a slight advantage however not a guaranteed win.
For what its worth the mechanics and game play of gears is still the best out.
