Anxious to get your hands on Final Fantasy XIV's new job system and level-less gameplay? Your best bet is to sign up for the beta -- oh, you've already done that? Well, there's nothing we can do to make your wait any easier, aside from assaulting your eye holes with a staggering amount of new screenshots.

Square Enix has unloaded the new media onto the game's official site, though in our usual style we've plucked out all of the good stuff and situated 'em into our gallery below. Consider it our gift to you this holiday season. Sharing is caring, y'know.

I think you should bark up a different tree before the branch falls and kills you.

From the looks of things that tree is pretty weak and I'm pretty sure any branch that might fall could easily be brushed away with little ease.

Seanross, Awetoebawt keeps saying "reply fails" because you aren't using the typical reply etiquette. The general rule of thumb here is to respond to replies to your own post by also replying to your post, keeping it all in the same comment thread. It just makes it tidier here, looking for all your posts about a particular comment chain by looking at the replies to your original post, instead of having to search over every independent comment to find the ones that could potentially be in response to your original chain. Imagine if people didn't reply directly to you and instead just made standalone comments, hoping you'd realize they were connected to your comment. Get what I mean now? Just a tip from your friendly neighborhood Rogue Jedi.

You do realize someone can find fault with a particular portion of a game and still enjoy the hell out of it?

You act as if any fault is found in FFXIII it's your civic duty to not only counter it but assume the person making the points must surely not enjoy a FF game.

The Lalafell definitely look nothing like the Taru Taru now, I don't like it. :( They look more like mini-Elvaan than Taru Taru now. Bring back the colored noses at least, please!

More details please. You just registered today(the 25th) and have only made one post, telling us to go to a link you gave. Some of us would interpret that as a spammer. Explain yourself before we have to mark your post as spam!

Also, what does "Babe of the Year 2009" have to do with a topic about screenshots of Final Fantasy 14?

I really hope I can get into the PS3 beta... my computer sucks so even if I get the Window's beta I don't think I could play...

Okay, it's definitely a spammer. Skimming other topics, there's like 5 other guys making just 2 or 3 posts, each going to that neenainai "Best Babe of 2009" link. I think they're just a more subtle form of the usual Chinese spammers. So Report Fruits' post.

I agree, I can't stand the direction SE's been taking the core franchise. My only enjoyment with Final Fantasy titles as of late have been their spin-offs.

My only criticism with the game thus far is they went with the same, bland, boring kinda-realistic/kinda-plastic generic realism art style they used in XI. Every screen shot I've seen bores the hell out of me, and the only redeeming factor of XI was its party-based battle mechanics and job change system. I can only hope that in XIV they provide single-player content (the lack of which in XI forced me into playing WoW) as well as fun battle mechanics, because the game most definitely isn't winning me over with its visuals.
