I don't get the hate PA receives. No, it's not always a home run, but no comic ever is, and PA has been doing it longer and more consistently than anyone else. It's also one of the few comics I can read where the subject is a game I know little about, and still manages to be funny. Most other webcomics about games feel way too self-involved and "nerdy" for a lack of a better word. I usually find PA to be clever and Tycho's attached posts just as entertaining as the comics, along with some often interesting insight.

It was a pretty good issue, but lately their comic has felt flat. I think thats the problem with doing a comic for that long though, eventually it's hard to get excited about what you do. Specially when they need to tend to things like PAX.
Still, at it's worst PA is better than most webcomics at their best.

The PA was funny, at the same time it was kind of missing the point. Tony Hawk was saying reviewers went into the game knowing they weren't going to like it, and then gave it bad reviews based on their bias going in. I don't believe that, at the same time reviewers typically don't have to pay for the games they review. So the PA comic was pretty much completely missing the point of Tony Hawks complaint, and I saw his twitter post, he was talking about reviewers.

I can actually see Link doing that for every gift. Then, once he's opened them all, he'd probably find a bizarre use for them, like using the underwear as a mask, and the socks as gloves. Maybe he'd even pretend they are the strength gauntlets and go around the house trying to lift things.

Here's your problem. 154 was pretty meh, overall. Maybe a joke about The Spirits Within would have better. 155, it's too early to really tell if the game is bad, and 156 wasn't very funny either. You could have used Jak's 'got a Powercell' motion from The Precursor Legacy.

The second one was alright, not too bad or good really.
The third one wasn't that great in my opinion. The over 9000 joke has run it's course on the internet quite a bit though. There are probably still people who will love it, even if I don't, so don't take me too seriously.
