If so, today's advertised Xbox Live Deal of the Day (part of an ongoing promotion) should float your cup of tea -- right onto the shores of Monkey Island. The Xbox Live Arcade version of The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition has been marked down by 50 percent to 400 MS Points ($5).

Supposedly the remaining deals of the day have leaked, someone on CAG posted them. Keep in mind it may or may not be true, and the original Battlefield price on there is wrong (it's not 800 points originally).

Secret of Monkey Island is one of my favorite games on the XBLA and for 5 bucks it's a steal.

Yeah, Braid and Battlefield tempt me. I'd prefer them on PS3, but I don't pass up deals like that. Definitely getting Shadow Complex, though.

Yeah I want the Battlefield game too, but I believe the actual discount price will be roughly 600 points and not 400. Someone said they saw the ad for it on EA's website.

I'm thinking the list is wrong because today is Battle for Terra for only 80ms points! Which is just fantastic.

Coincidentally, the PC version of this game is also $5 through Steam today... and every day through the end of the Steam Holiday Sale (January 3rd?).

Live is definitely getting hammered. I keep getting kicked out of Messenger, and it takes twice as long to sign into my profile. PSN isn't faring well either.

If you haven't played this BUY THIS GAME NOW. For the price of a happy meal, you can get one of the greatest games of all time. You would have to be an idiot to pass this up.

Honestly, you won't regret it. It really is one of the all-time greatest games ever made. 5 dollars, you can't go wrong.

Yeah, if you buy it from the Xbox.com marketplace it will download the next time you sign into XBL on your console. Did the same with MVC2 yesterday. Not going to be within a hundred miles of my Xbox for the next week, but these deals are too good to pass up.

No, it's a full story. It's not episodic. It's got a beginning, middle and an end. And it will probably take you a good time to finish the game, if you've never played it before. Don't let the puzzles get to you either, some of them are hard and others will make you facepalm yourself for not getting them right away. It's a clever and fun game and the story is fantastic.

The game is funny, it looks pretty awesome and the voice work is hilarious. Yes, this is worth 5 or 10 spacebucks. If your into achievements, with a help of a guide, you can get the 200 in 3-4 hours. Totally worth, it in my opinion.
