We were far too busy a-wassailing yesterday to notice, but Valve released a soon-to-be-holiday-classic that we think is going to catch on like wildfire. It's the latest track from Left 4 Dead 2's quartet of bearded troubadours, the Midnight Riders, titled "All I Want for Christmas (Is To Kick Your Ass)." It's a lot like that one song with the similar title, only ... with more ass-kicking, we guess. Unsurprisingly, it's not suitable for work -- but incredibly suitable for your family gatherings. Click past the jump to rekindle that holiday spirit.

Stop fucking complaining. We'll get it when it's done, and it'll be worth the wait. Geez, you're so ungrateful.

It's the internet, and I'm a paying customer. That gives me the right to bitch all I want. Will Episode 3 or Portal 2 most likely be good? Yes. But that doesn't mean I want to wait forever.

People complain that Valve is releasing a game early (Left 4 Dead 2) then go and complain that Valve is taking forever to release another game (Episode 3). People need to make up their minds.

People? I didn't complain about them releasing it after a year, generalising makes you look dumb.

The complaint was that Left 4 Dead 2 was released as fast as it was, which delayed Episode 3 and or Portal 2.

No, you don't have the right to bitch all you want. It's that kind of thinking that turns not only the internet but the world in general into a shit hole.
And how are you a paying customer for something that isn't even out yet? Did you make a trip to Valve headquarters and give them a check after saying "Here, I hope this ten bucks helps speed up the development of half life episode 3 and portal 2."
You're not paying the salary of Valve employees through taxes, even your past purchases can't be considered to have payed for HL Ep3 or Portal 2. If anything you paying for past games is you reimbursing the employees for the work they put into those games.
So please, get your damned head out of your ass.

How do you figure? Did money just appear at Valve? By purchasing the previous games, it funds development of the next ones. If the next one isn't released, or bombs, that hampers development of a fourth title. Valve is a little different, due to Steam, but all it can take is one bad title to ruin a series or kill all interest in it.

I'll take a patch to make Left 4 Dead 2 half as good as one, please. The one time I spend anything near full price on a title (after one being complete crack) and it's just mediocre. I expected so much better from Valve. The infinite replayability was the essence of Left 4 Dead for me, and two just kills it with boring oversized maps, borked AI, and an overzealous (in terms of spawning). Plus having more than two classes of weapons is confusing without adding anything to gameplay. I have a hard time remembering which of each is actually the best. And it's not like there's some radical innovation in each to warrant their inclusion. Not that it doesn't have it's good points, different pistols are cool - the melee weapons are great, though I felt the game was too balanced around them, and tanks and witches feel more balanced. Though witches are almost too easy, there's very little incentive to actually avoid one when you've got a good shot of just taking it out.

Just like Still Alive. Man Valve is just one of the best developers, and they really do listen to their fans even though fans disagree with what they do sometimes (L4D2) but it's all for a reason. Besides L4D2 is very awesome and I don't care if it came out a "year early", that just means we don't have to wait another year!

Did anyone else see the four of them and think 'best survivors ever'? Seriously, imagine if L4D3 featured those guys.

Yeah, I thought so too. Wait for Q4 2010 and we'll probably both be right.

That guy on the left looks just like Santa Claus, except his beard isn't white, and he has sunglasses and a leather jacket, and he wants to kick your ass.
