In our rush to the yule late this past week, we nearly forgot to mention that Nathan Drake and Nathan Drake lookalikes (Drakealikes?) have the chance to earn double cash (read: XP) this weekend in Uncharted 2's multiplayer mode. Donning the ubiquitous red cap (and apparently two brand new invisible hands), those taking Drake online will encounter not just jollier looking foes, but also "double for all kills and medals," according to Naughty Dog marketing man Arne Meyer on the PlayStation Blog. The temporary XP boost kicked in on Christmas Eve (December 24) at 10AM PST and goes until tomorrow at 11AM PST, so there are still at least another 24 or so hours to shoot some of those dastardly Drakealikes in multiplayer.

Awesome, considering I just got the game :D
I'll be playing through the first Uncharted to catch up, then hopefully start the second one soon.
Add me on PSN if you like (but you don't have to)- AATroop

It's too bad on these special event days, that not all the MP skins get the holiday makeover. It's kind of boring just having donut Drake vs donut Zoran, or in this case, holiday Drake vs holiday Zoran (presumably? I haven't jumped on in the past 10 days).

yeah i would like it if they gave all regular skins a makeover.

Its nothing to do with the PSN. Its the developers buggy game (in MW2's case) and U2's netcode leaves a LOt to be desired anyway.

Well, if it's as minor as you make it sound, it's not that big of a deal. When it affects hundreds of accounts, that's minor compared to millions of users in Halo and Call of Duty being affected. Naughty Dog is still learning. This is their first MP game, and they've got kinks to work out. Give it time.

Why all the anger in here today? It's christmas! But I will say Uncharted's multiplayer really does suck, it's unbalanced, takes forever to get into a game, and the modes itself are dumb.

Yes, Christmas was yesterday, but the spirit and good tidings should last at least until the new year :)

I don't know how many times this has to be said, but apparently at least once more:
Joystiq is a blog, it's free to us, and they post what catchers their attention and what they care about as gamers. If you disagree, go read another site's blog, or find an actual news site or something. They could post about a monkey pooping on a three toed sloth wearing a tutu and lipstick, and you'd just have to like it.
You get what you pay for. Think about that.

@Avatar
They do make money. The writers are paid, and the website earns money from advertising.

But we're not in charge of the news on this site. And everyone called them out on the errors in that article...

I'll tell you why nobody wants to help you - it's the way you've gone about asking. First you criticise Joystiq, while at the same time demanding that they do what you want them to do. This understandably attracts criticism - and corrections of some of the accusations you made.
But rather than just take it, and then press on with the issue, you bring up fanboys (a sore topic for many), and then start hurling around insults at the same time as you whine about being insulted by others.
Nobody was being a fanboy - they were giving answers and then (whether justified or not) insulting you after you called them 'delusional' and 'fanboys'.
Here's a tip: if you want people on Joystiq to help you, don't say we're 'cretins that...are only semi literate mouth breathers'. It's not giving us much incentive to support you. I felt you had legitimate concerns initially, but after reading your subsequent barrage of insulting posts towards everyone on Joystiq, I wasn't feeling encouraged to help you.
Just want to emphasise that - despite what you think - me criticising you does not automatically make me a PS3 fanboy. Of course, judging from your previous record, you'll just pick up on a small grammatical mistake in my post, or maybe throw in the old 'TL;DR' chestnut. Still, at least I've tried to explain.

@Sailor, Naughty Dog are working on a fix. They made a post about it on the Playstation Blog in the comments. Naughty Dog is always reading the PS Forums. Just because they don't make a proper response about it doesn't mean they aren't doing anything. I agree with your points though but Joystiq posts what they want, not what they have to.
