The price of Twisted Pixel's The Maw has been slashed from 800 MS Points ($10) to 400 MS Points ($5). And here we thought Christmas was over.

Additionally, today's holiday XBLM deal is a Rolling Stones live track pack for Guitar Hero 5. It can be yours for only 360

($4.50), half the usual 720

I've never even heard of this game. Is it worth $5?

It was made by the same people who made splosion man.

That's enough for me to pick it up.

I really enjoyed it, but it was really short.

Anyone play the full version of this beast? I played the demo and it was somewhat charming. Curious if it holds up at all. I've spent $5 on some pretty terrible things.

I completed it. It's brief, but fun. Well worth $5 if you're bored.

Totally just added it to my queue. I figure if I can get the game and the three 'deleted scenes' DLC packs for a $1.25 less than the normal price of just the game, it's worth it!

Yeah it's a solid little platformer, really easy to get all the achievements too if you're into that. I bought it for full price but for $5 it's definitely worth it.

I kind of liked The Maw more than 'Splosion Man. What some call too short, I found to be the perfect length. It was over before it got boring and it was long enough to still feel like each level was fresh and not recycled. The three DLC levels changed that a bit, as they were all excellent, but I have no regrets spending $10 on The Maw. It's a fun little game and a steal at $5. It's a pretty good looking game too, and it's one of those rare gems to actually feature interactive music in this day and age (and the music is pretty damn catchy to boot).

And get the fudge outta here... Never thought I'd see tmac respond positively to The Maw! Perhaps there is hope after all.

I'm confused, how is 50% off an awesome XBLA game and 50% off a decent 5-pack of DLC not good?

oh. it's on GH5. Now I understand.

Because I would have liked a better Arcade title (Braid, BF1943, Geometry Wars 2). And who plays Guitar Hero 5?

In the end whether the deals are good or not are all opinion.

Someone might be shitting themselves right now for 5 dollar maw.

If you want Braid and BF43 then wait a few days, all will be revealed.

Awesome! I loved the demo, but never brought myself to buy it. This will be a grand total of 4,000 points spent in under a week.

Twisted Pixel is a great little studio. I hope we get more from them soon.

I liked the demo, I shall take the 5 dollar leap and give it a go. Though I wish Splosion Man was on sale instead.

This game has annoying sound effects.

I thought it was a great game... Plus I find myself imitating the maw sounds the alien makes when calling Maw.

i checked out the trial version and i'm glad i did. the game is funny, and works on a simple premise that's pretty fun. downloading the full game as i type this.

This game is worth it, it's even worth the full price, everyone should get it!

Heck, maybe I'll even buy the 3 DLC for it, an additional 100 per DLC.

If you are looking on the website, you have to be signed into your live account that is associated with your gamertag. I thought the same thing, then signed in and it went to 400 points. And I was able to add it to my XBox queue.

Still seems to be 800 points... perhaps this is an US only thing :( This Canadian is disappointed. Might still get it, but shame on you MS... we celebrate xmas too

Never mind... i see that I need to cash in my gold account card *facepalm*

I do not have a gold membership, but I do have a 48 hour Gold trial. If I use that will it let me get the Maw at $5?
