Probably just a mistake. Mortal Kombat II disappeared briefly a while ago, too, and everyone got in an uproar.

I noticed this a couple days ago. It's weird. My brother really wants Carnage. Also weird.

Is it me or has the stories today been kind of 'meh'? Or perhaps everyone is just gone?

It's the week after the holiday, when all the hard working chaps finally realize they have vacation time and decide to use it lest it be wasted.

I thought "pulls a Sue Storm" was a bizarre way of saying "initiates a rampage of litigation" before I reached the word "vanishes" and realized what it really meant.

And by "initiates a rampage of litigation" you mean "pulls a Erik Estavillo."

Kind of a weird thing to do straight after Christmas when people may have been gifted the game. They might, you know, want to expand their gaming with some DLC?

DLC? this game was absolute garbage. i got rid of it not even a week after purchasing and that was because i forced myself into finishing it.

MUA:2 is a prime example of what happens when you have an ignorant f*ing publisher (Activision) so desperate to cash in on the first game's success that they end up farming out the sequel to a second-rate developer (Vicarious Visions).

that they think they can convince people *now* to spend money on DLC for this largely forgotten game (which came out over 3 months ago) is nothing short of spectacular.

Maybe they took it down due to the lame selection of characters. I'll take some Bullseye and Hercules DLC when they come to their senses instead of adding the likes of Carnage or ANOTHER F**KING X-Men character.

This has been a continuing problem. Juggernaut was free DLC with a code if you got pre-order through gamespot. There was a massive exploit, everyone figured out that anyone could go to the site where you registered for your Juggernaut code and get one, and people claimed several codes apiece. This meant that those who actually HAD pre-ordered the game didn't get anything once the limited number of codes ran out. Big mess, lots of unhappy preorder customers. THEN, shortly after the game's release, Juggernaut was accidentally added to the PSN store for download for a day or two for $2.99, and then removed, marking the 2nd DLC mistake regarding Juggernaut.

My PS3 died in October (for the second time), and now that I got it fixed, turns out that the DLC is gone. Not just the pay DLC, but all of the free DLC compatibility packs as well. Since I downloaded the juggernaut compatibility DLC back in October I went to my PSN download history as was able to download it again, so the content is still there, just the links to it are gone. Strangely, the add-ons still show as Available on the PSN website on a PC, but when you log into the PSN on the PS3 they are no longer there.

I noticed that the MUA2 Civil War Online site is being removed on January 1st, so I imagine this has something to do with the limited time frame on the DLC. Its going to totally screw up the online play though if people can't get access to those compatibility packs.

Well, apparently the topic thread on the Playstation boards has been deleted. I finally received an email reply from Sony's PlayStation Store today that tells me that the content was removed early at the publisher's request.
