a bad deal. the game is broken, no joke the xbox version is lag city and the issue hasn't been fixed for a few months now.
the only way to play is online and they can't fix it.

It's true. I have it on PS3 and it's broken to the point I feel truly robbed.
There are such terrible server issues it borders on unplayable. And with EA and DICE focusing on Bad Company 2, this will be ignored. Don't buy!!

i get down ranked for warning people about 24 hour lag?
im serious i loved the game i got all the achievements and loved flying the mustangs but god damn the servers are broken. the support forums are full of reports of kicks and disconnects.
I'm talking for the xbox end not the pc or ps3.
if you want to spend your 800 points on this go ahead, hope it gets fixed. its only been 48 days since some mod said so and so will look into it.

I will give every single person who buys this tomorrow $7.50 if they honestly feel they don't get their worth of play time. I can understand people bitching about longevity in a $60 single player game, but a seven/fifteen dollar multiplayer experience? Come on, the only way you won't have a blast with the game is if you don't have any friends to play with... And who would bother wasting money on a multiplayer game if they don't have friends?

I've had tons more fun on much cheaper and simpler games like Peggle, so what's your point about the price? The fact is, this game doesn't have much to it even for the price point and gets boring after the first few plays.

Bought it, Dropped it.

The game isn't all that great, the controls are really horrible, the speed of the character movements is really atrocious. I liked previous battlefield games, so I thought this one would be nice, but it really isn't all that it's cracked up to be.

For 7.50 it probably isn't that bad of a deal for some, but if you already have games like Socom, MW2, or Warhawk I would forego this purchase all together. That 7.50 could go towards some DLC or add a few more bucks and buy a game worth it.

Peggle sucked and was way way way way overrated. BF 1943 was one of the tighter and better MP experiences of the year. I'd take about a 25 other puzzle games over Peggle. One of the biggest wastes of money I've ever spent was buying Peggle ... and I suckered myself into buying some downloadable games.

Gets old quick? What are you talking about? There's tons to do in this game. I play 1943 more than I play Modern Warfare 2. This game is extremely well balanced and entertaining. In fact, this was one of my favorite games of the year...and it was only 15 dollars!

Lol rob...you apparently have no idea what you are talking about. There is an EA deal to get 800 pts back if you buy 3 games and/or DLC packs. I started to get this as one of mine but I too was not sure if it would count or not. So I decided to go ahead and get the Dragon Age DLC and got the two Mass Effect DLCs for 400 each...which would be like getting the ME DLCs free. It probably will work, but I didnt wanna take the chance.

No, the new one from EA where you get 800 points back if you buy 3 select pieces of content from the Marketplace.

I can't imagine they'd revoke it just for the one day but you never can be sure with these things.

This is it. This is the last deal, being the 31 of December.

I really don't know whether to buy it or not. On one hand, its a one time deal, on the other, its only 3 maps and there are no bots and (supposedly) no DLC on the way either.

Help me decide Joystiq comrades

(PS: By the way, why don't we have a forum?)

Because if the comments are anything to go by, a Joystiq forum would be the biggest shitfest of fanboy wars and righteous indignation the internet has ever seen. By the end of the forum's first day most of the people using it would be banned, by which point there would no longer be any use for the forum.

Call me mushy, but I don't think I've ever grown more attached to a
site an its community (quirks and all) more than Joystiq.

I think it's a real shame we can only interact with each other in the
comments for the most recent stories. Once "news" hits
/page/2/ people stop commenting on it thus leaving conversations half
finished.

I'm honestly kinda disappointed with this. This is the culmination of all the build up? Seriously? So, for the last three days of the countdown, we got a crappy free movie (Into the Blue), half price of Castle Crashers (a game that many many people had anyway) and now half price off Battlefield? What a let down

Seems like a decent deal to me. I didn't buy Castle Crashers or Battlefield 1943 before this and I wouldn't have at 1200 points each. But at these prices, hell yes. Can't please everyone.

I have Battlefield bad company... so I was wondering if I should get 1943 as well since it's pretty different (just 3 classes and a couple of maps in ww2) sounds great but should I get this while waiting for BFBC2? or continue playing BFBC?
