New Years Eve Only: 50% off Battlefield 1943 [update]

Concluding its streak of daily deals during the holiday season, the Xbox Live version of Battlefield 1943 will be on sale for 50% off, tomorrow. EA's official Battlefield 1943 Twitter account revealed that the New Years Eve sale (and final daily deal on the Marketplace) would slash the popular shooter's price to 600

($7.50 USD), for one day only.

While we're avid fans of the WWII-themed shooter, we're still irked that the game hasn't received proper (read: any) DLC support, save for the unlocked Coral Sea "air superiority" map. Perhaps a rush of new soldiers will push EA to begin development on new content, but we won't hold our breath while we wait in that foxhole.

Played the demo, I'll pass. While not a bad game I would rather play MW2.

I stopped playing this around the time Uncharted 2 came out.

It was hard to find a server that wasn't full of lag. Just annoying.

It really isn't a bad game for the deal price, but even if there was DLC at this point, it wouldn't make me come back to play more.

EA did something cool originally releasing this game at this price. It came out during the summer when nothing else was out. But lack of DLC and server fixes are a huge missed oppurtunity.

I was wishing for a BF 2143 even though I knew it would never happen, but with how 1943 ended up, I could care less.

turns out its only 560points not 600! even better! its still coming up with 1200msp on the console but u can grab it for 560 on xbox.com. these last 2 days have been really gd deals.

top that with ea's buy 3 get 800msp back offer and i have myself a bargain!

battlefield 1943 = 560
big surf island = 1000
mass effect dlc = 400
ea 800 back = -800
TOTAL = 1960
Money saved = 1040 :P

Probably going to get this but how does the 800 points back work?, is it automatic? has anyone got it to work yet?

Considering getting these if I can get 800 points back
