Prinny 2: Dawn of the Great Pantsu War will reportedly launch for the PSP on March 25, 2010 in Japan, according to Dengeki Online (via Siliconera). Sure, Nippon Ichi Software might not exactly want us to know that it's making a sequel to this year's Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero?, but that doesn't stop the company from releasing a mess of screenshots and a release date to gamers across the Pacific, along with with the game's full title.
As if the first game's premise of securing cakes for Etna wasn't ridiculous enough, the second game tasks you with recovering underpants for her (thus the title). To combat the various adorable enemies along the way (just look at that penguin!), the developer has added new moves as well as a "baby mode" for novices. We've added a handful of screenshots to our gallery below, but you can peep a metric ton more right here.

A mode with infinite Prinnies?
C'mon, it's not like the first one was THAT hard!
On my first playthrough, I only lost about 400 doods.
On normal.

All training levels give you infinite lives. That's what the screenshot is probably showing.

^This (Replaying to Omega's post)
I was a bit let down by the fact Prinny wasn't making me throw my psp out of frustration...
In fact, the only points in-game where I died was by pitfalls, or bosses.
And even then, I lost about 70~100 Prinny's, on normal.
I guess I'm just a masochist gamer, after finishing "I wanna Be The Guy". ^_^'

Why have gamers been so obsessed with "cute" things lately? There have been tons of post and talks about so cute this and so cuddly that. When did you all turn into 12 year old girls?

I wasn't tryin to say that Prinny is "gay" or whatever, I love the first game. I just don't understand the need for sentences like "To combat the various adorable enemies along the way (just look at that penguin!), the developer has added new moves as well as a "baby mode" for novices." When Critter Crunch came out, all the focus was on how cute it was that the dad puked rainbow barf into his son's mouth rather than how great of a puzzle game it was. Since when did gamers care about how "cute" the characters are in the games they're playing?

He/she/it misspelled "missus"...
Is it a focus that the visuals are cute? Or merely an acknowledgement that they are? You cannot deny that the style of the Disgaea world is rather cutesy on the scale of Japanese artstyles. By merely commenting on the cute factor of it does not mean one thinks "OMG I LOVE CUTE THINGS!"
It is what it is.

This game is hardly cute.
It will make you want to rip your eye lashes out and burn your PSP in the center of of the earth.
That's my experience from playing anyways.

I loved the first game. One of my favorite PSP games since Jeanne D'Arc. Bring it on, dood!

I thought the first one had some pretty gameplay during the levels, but fantastic boss fights. Every time I play it I feel like the levels are just a grind to get to the boss. I think I kind of hate his mid-air attack for most situations, but it doesn't bother me much during the boss fights. I don't have a problem with Mega Man not being able to shoot up, but for some reason, Prinny's inability to attack straight in midair bugs me.
