And I am now officially happy

Sir Paul, more Blink, and the one Ramones song I've been waiting for since Rock Band 1

I'm glad to see "Rock'n'Roll High School" too but I was really hoping for "Do You Remember Rock 'N' Roll Radio?" or "Beat on the Brat" actually. There are two mixes of "Rock'n'Roll High School," biggest difference is in the drums. I wonder which one this will be.

The RB store lets you preview it, so I'm guessing it'd be pretty easy to figure out which was which.

wow, assholes much? i own the AC/DC pack, bought all the queen, kiss, the who, boston, and about 40 other rock songs.

And i will most likely be buying the other stuff as well, but blink-182 is a personal favorite of mine as i went through middle/high school with enema of the state and take off your pants and jacket. Though i liked other music, those particular albums were my soundtrack so-to-say to my last 5 years of school.

It's okay to like blink-182. As long as you can accept that they're not the most insane music out there. Personally they're my favorite band of all time. I worship them, but I know enough to admit that guitar-wise, they're very simple, but have great melodies. I know enough to admit that, no they're not the BEST kind of music out there, but I care about what sounds good, not what's the fastest or most complicated.

Not to drag myself into a flame war, but "fast", "complicated", and "poor melodies" don't exactly describe Paul McCartney. (I don't really care what you listen to though, just so long as I can listen to what I want.)

UNRELATED:

Does anyone know what the next album will be for DLC on TB:RB?

I have a feeling it's Revolver, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for MMT.

Well someone (cant remember if he worked in Harmonix, or worked with the Beatles) said MMT was coming, and I really hope it does! That's my favorite album. Hopefully we get some more singles too, I really want to play "Happiness is a Warm Gun".

Yeah, I was really hoping HIAWG would be in there, considering the distorted guitar, the fast bassline and the amazing drumming. I hope White Album will make it's debut on TB:RB.

Revolution 9 and Wild Honey Pie would be weird as all hell, though.

I wouldn't hold my breath. They will probably go the Unplugged way and announce that "there is no more DLC scheduled for release at this time" which means "yeah, we did our part. buy our new game"

They said that new DLC would only come if the sales for current relases were very high. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like it.

If they made them playable in RB2 (or even RB3), they'd sell a lot more copies.

Even my Baby Boomer parents would rather play RB2 than TB:RB.

I'll go through once every month or so and pick up the stray songs that are calling out to me. I've hit a weird point on RB though, where I play it often enough that it isn't boring but not enough that I actually get any better. Plus, I started playing LEGO recently and so I tend to buy more songs to boost its meager setlist.

The stuff on the store itself is really pretty excellent. In fact, the only thing that's really stopped me from still buying a ton of songs is the realization that all of them will be pretty much worthless ones and zeroes once the next-generation hits in a few short years.

Me either.

Every 6-9 months me and my girlfriend will buy a bunch and play it for a couple weeks but it's been a long long time since we bought anything (or played even) on a regular basis.

Still, it's nice to see some good songs being released.

I buy monthly and pick up everything that came out that I liked in that month. Unless its something I really really need to have, like the Queen or Nirvana packs, I'll just go ahead and pick those up when they come out.

I hope you're joking... Both Ringo and George Harrison are/were awesome, and believe it or not the Beatles wouldn't be at the level they are without either of them! Especially George Harrison... I think he was the coolest Beatle! And singing/writing "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", "Here Comes The Sun," "Taxman," "I, Me, Mine" and others made him more than "just the guitarist."

George had what is arguably the richest solo career of any of the four boys.

not to mention that during his tenure with the Beatles, he penned the following AWESOME songs:
"While My Guitar Gently Weeps"
"It's All Too Much"
"Not Guilty"
"Taxman"
"Something"
"I Me Mine"
"If I Needed Someone"
and many others.

Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Christy, take off your robe. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. Sabrina, remove your dress. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Sabrina, why don't you, uh, dance a little. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock. Christy, get down on your knees so Sabrina can see your asshole. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. Sabrina, don't just stare at it, eat it. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite.

Don't forget the cries of his tortured soul in "I Don't Care Anymore".

Tonight, Tonight, Tonight (full version) is another great Genesis song.

I personally prefer the Hackett/Gabriel days, everyone knew what you were talking about when you said the word Genesis. Fountain of Salmacis, The Return of the Giant Hogweed, and Twilight Alehouse were examples of amazing early Genesis songs. Don't get me wrong, Collins/Banks/Rutherford are amazing, it's just not Genesis without them. I love Invisible Touch/Land of Confusion/This is Sususudio/Mama though.
